'Revenged Love' Star Ziyu Caught Up In A Cheating Scandal, Faces Allegations From Multiple Women

Chinese actor Ziyu, who shot to stardom following his role in the BL drama, Revenged Love, has found himself in hot water after being accused of cheating — that too, by multiple women. The growing cheating scandal that has been unfolding for the past few days has left fans divided and stirred debate on social media. The 24-year-old actor, whose real name is Zheng Peng, is now facing infidelity accusations from two women, including an ex-girlfriend and a popular influencer, within days of each other. 

Ziyu’s ex-girlfriend accuses him of cheating with his manager

The controversy surrounding the actor's growing scandal began when a woman using the name Paris Li on the Chinese social media platform, Weibo, accused Ziyu of cheating on her while secretly dating his manager. According to Paris’s allegations, she began dating the actor in 2023 after they met at a clothing store. Ziyu allegedly claimed he was single, but she later discovered that he had been in a two-year relationship with his manager at the time.

Paris also claimed that after confronting him, the actor promised that he had broken up with his manager, convincing her to give the relationship a fresh chance. However, it was not long after the incident that Ziyu allegedly ghosted her. Determined for revenge, Paris posted intimate photos of the two together as evidence of their relationship and demanded a public apology for the same. 

Ziyu responds to Paris Li's accusations with a public apology

As expected, the intimate photos went viral over Chinese social media in no time, and fans started reposting the images and the post on their respective handles. Responding to the backlash, Ziyu took to his Weibo handle with an apology, admitting to his lack of accountability and communication. A part of his message read:

“I acknowledge that my behaviour caused serious issues and left her feeling left behind. I accept full responsibility for the hurt I caused and deeply apologise.”

In the same post, Ziyu addressed the rumours involving his manager. He cited them as 'misunderstandings' but accepted full blame for the situation. The 24-year-old actor announced in the end that he would suspend all public activities for some time to reflect on his mistakes and the pain he has caused. 

A popular influencer accuses Ziyu of sleeping with a friend

Not long after the public apology, another woman, a popular influencer, came forward on social media with fresh claims against the actor. In a new report from Koreaboo, the influencer claimed that she and Ziyu started talking in late 2024 and even developed a close relationship. However, her trust was shattered after she learnt that the revenge love actor had slept with a mutual friend while she was away. 

According to the popular influencer, her friends had previously warned her about Ziyu’s character and unreliability, given the lack of respect he received from his former bandmates, but she initially didn't pay any heed to them. However, after her personal experience and the recent revelations, it left little room for doubt.

Who is Ziyu?

For fans of C-dramas or BL dramas, the name Ziyu is instantly recognisable. Born in 2002 in Lianyungang, Jiangsu, China, Ziyu began his career as an idol and was formerly a member of the boy group Guanghe Shaonian under Huakaibanxia Cultural Media. Controversy seems to have followed him from the start. In December 2022, he accused a fellow bandmate of physical assault and later sued the company after being removed from the group. Ziyu rose to fame as the lead in the hit BL drama Revenged Love.
