Zohran Mamdani talked about his love story to YouTuber and content creator, Kaneez Surka and revealed that he met his wife online. It so happened that when the YouTuber asked Zohran how he was going to help single people find love, he candidly revealed that he met his wife, Rama, on a dating app. Speaking about the same, he said:

"First, I found my wife on Hinge. So (dating apps) still work. Just to let people know. Second is, I think we also need to give people more time in their lives.”

Zohran Mamdani introduced his wife after being accused of ‘hiding his wife’

During his election campaign, Zohran Mamdani was accused of hiding his wife. He took pictures to social media and shared them from his wedding, revealing how he usually brushes off controversies but cannot do it when it is about his loved ones.

Sharing details about his marriage, Zohran revealed that his wife, Rama, has her own identity and doesn’t need to be known by his name. His caption can be read as:

“If you take a look at Twitter today, or any day for that matter, you know how vicious politics can be. I usually brush it off, whether it's death threats or a call for me to be deported. But it's different when it's about those you love. Three months ago, I married the love of my life, Rama, a the City Clerk's office. Now, right-wing trolls are trying to make this race-which should be about you-about her. Rama isn't just my wife, she's an incredible artist who deserves to be known on her own terms. You can critique my views, but not my family.”
