The nation is in the state of mourning as Assam's hearthrob, Zubeen Garg's mortal remains from Singapore has reportedly landed at Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport. Zubeen's final journey to India has left everyone in a state of grief. His untimely demise due to a tragic scuba diving accident in Singapore left everyone shocked. Now around 20,000 dedicated and devoted fans of 'Zubeen Da' tracked the Singapore Delhi flight that has the mortal remains of the legendary singer.
Zubeen who was the soul of Assam left the state in grief because of his untimely death at 52. The state government of Assam has already declared a three-day state mourning till September 22, 2025 to remember Zubeen. Now, as per a report by pap, Viral Bayani, the special flight that carried Zubeen's mortal remains from Singapore to Delhi was tracked live by 20,363 fans of the singer worldwide. The ardent fans showed their love and admiration for their 'Zubeen Da'. The picture of the Singapore Airlines flight went viral that showcased that Zubeen's mortal remains from Singapore in the flight was carried at 8.30 p.m. on September 20, 2025 and reached Delhi at 11.55 p.m. on September 20, 2025. The state government of Assam has already declared that till September 22, 2025, there will officially be no entertainment, ceremonial or public celebration programmes.
Assam's CM,Himanta Biswa Sarma reportedly took charge of the personal arrangements and has travelled to New Delhi to receive Zubeen's body. Minister of State for External Affairs of India, Pabitra Margherita, reportedly also reached out to receive Zubeen's mortal remains. As per a report by ABP News, Zubeen's body, at 2 a.m., will be flown to his hometown in Guwahati. Pabitra, in an interview with the press, shared:
"The mortal remains of Zubeen Garg will be taken to Guwahati through the special flight arranged by the Assam government and may reach Guwahati at around 4 am."
Zubeen had been to Singapore to be a part of a North East India festival. There were reports that the 52-year-old singer did not wear a life jacket while swimming, but foul play was ruled out. Now, netizens commented on 20,000 fans live tracking Zubeen Garg's mortal remains being carried from Singapore to Delhi. A user said, "Assam ka asli pride, duniya ka legend. Dil ke har kone mein Zubeen sir ki yaadein hamesha rahenge."
Zubeen's final journey received an extraordinary ode as his fans tracked his mortal remains' journey. Screenshots of the flight that had Zubeen's body went viral on social media, and emotional tributes started pouring. Zubeen, who was best known for his song, Ya Ali, has left the entire nation grieving. His wife, Garima Saikia Garg, also made a humble appeal to his fans, requesting that they withdraw the FIRs they filed against his manager, Siddharth Sharma. She requested his fans to shower him love during his final journey with a lot of peace.
