Ankita Lokhande has been busy promoting her upcoming film, Swatantra Veer Savarkar, opposite Randeep Hooda. In the film, the actress will be seen playing the character 'Yamunabai', the wife of politician, activist, and writer, Veer Savarkar, and fans are already in awe of her transformation in the film. For the unversed, this is going to be Ankita's first project after coming out of the reality show, Bigg Boss 17, wherein she made headlines for her fights with her husband, Vicky Jain.
In an interview with News18 Showsha, Ankita revealed that money is not her primary goal, but rather she wants to work on good projects. The actress, who is labelled as one of the highest-paid actresses on television, claimed that she is ready to do good films for free. For those who don't know, Ankita Lokhande rose to instant fame with her role as 'Archana' in Pavitra Rishta. Ankita was quoted as saying:
"For me, money has always been secondary. The character I’m playing is the most important thing. Even now, I don’t run after money. I always go after the project. I’m ready to do films and shows for free."

Ankita, who started her journey as a television actress, lauds producers for improving the pay scale of female actors. She stated that the situation is better for women, who are working in television shows as the remuneration improved. Ankita further recalled how she used to earn Rs. 2000 per day while working in the serial, Pavitra Rishta. She was quoted as saying:
"And that’s helping a lot of women who are now working on television. The industry has grown so much over the years. When I started working on Pavitra Rishta, I was earning Rs 2000 a day. From there, my growth has been steady."

On March 18, 2024, Ankita Lokhande attended the Pinkvilla Awards night with her husband, Vicky Jain, wherein she was honoured with the Most Stylish TV Actor award. For the event, the actress wore a sultry black dress with colourful feather detailing and a mesh skirt. She ditched the statement accessories and kept her look subtle.

For her makeup, she opted for highlighted cheeks, soft eyes, and defied brows. Her curly hair completed her look. Talking about Ankita's husband, Vicky, he looked dapper in a white coat with a black shirt underneath and a matching pair of pants. He perfectly complimented his wife, and they looked madly in love.
Ankita Lokhande and Vicky Jain made the seventeenth season of Bigg Boss super interesting with their diverse personalities, blunt opinions and infamous fights. While Ankita kept thinking Vicky wasn't paying attention to her, the latter wanted to show off his own personality and prove that he was one of the deserving contestants of the show. While many thought that the couple will part ways after so many fights, Vicky and Ankita proved them wrong, and stated that their relationship is more important than the fights.
On the work front, Ankita Lokhande will next appear on the silver screen in the film, Swatantrya Veer Savarkar.
