Television actress, Madalsa Sharma is a doting bahu in real life to her father-in-law and yesteryear icon, Mithun Chakraborty. For the unversed, Madalsa is married to Mithun’s eldest son, Mahaakshay Chakraborty and shares a great bond with his family, especially his parents, Mithun and Yogeeta Bali. And now, as the famous Disco Dancer of the 70s turned a year older, his daughter-in-law shared some lovely anecdotes about their bonding.
In an interview with ETimes, Madalsa Sharma opened up on the kind of person her father-in-law, Mithun Chakraborty, is in real life and revealed how he had been the most caring and down-to-earth person she has ever encountered. In her words:
“In our house, everyone is very down-to-earth. We are what we are. Mithun da is just a dad, same with me. We all love, adore and revere him. He is one of the most loving and caring individuals that I have come across in my life. “

Mithun Chakraborty has been one of the most phenomenal actors of his time, and his impeccable filmography has left behind a legacy in itself. Speaking about the same, Madalsa Sharma spoke about the experience of residing with a living legend like him. She revealed how she has even seen an iconic Bengali film of his. Heaping praises on her father-in-law, Madalsa mentioned:
“There are many things to learn from him. Few of which I follow are, respect humans, love animals his passion for work discipline and the way he lives with pride but with a bowed head. I have seen many of his films. The last film I saw of him was Prajapati. It is a Bengali movie. He was amazing in it.”
Going further in the interview, Madalsa opened up on how she and the entire family plans to celebrate Mithun Chakraborty’s 73rd birthday on June 16, 2023. Revealing more about it, the actress mentioned how despite their busy work schedules, the family tries to come together to celebrate the big day. Moreover, she also revealed how Mithun does not like gifts on his birthday. In her words:
“In my family, almost everyone is working so it is very difficult to get together at the same time. So we are yet to make any plans. He does not accept gifts. Best gift for him would be to follow in his footsteps and make him proud. If we do good in our lives, help each other and also those in need, he is happy.”

In her concluding remarks at the end of the interview, Madalsa Sharma opened up on getting a chance of working with her father-in-law, Mithun Chakraborty and being able to share the screen space once in her life as an actress. She called it a dream-come-true for which she awaits eagerly.
