Former Bollywood actor, Imran Khan recently dropped a snippet along with a long note referring to his mental health struggles. Soon, after that, his estranged wife, Avantika Malik posted some cryptic quotes on her social media handle. Soon, netizens started joining the two dots, mentioning Avantika's quotes are related to Imran's post. For the unversed, Imran tied the knot with his childhood friend, Avantika on January 10, 2011. Afterwards, the couple was blessed with a baby girl on June 9, 2014, whom they lovingly named Imara. However, Avantika and Imran got separated in 2019, after 8 years of married life.
Taking to her IG stories on September 6, 2023, Avantika Malik posted some quotes, which seem to be a sly dig at her estranged husband, Imran Khan's post on dealing with his mental health. In the first story, the quote can be read as, "I will judge you by the way you treat me, not by the bullshit moral characteristics, you claim to have, but don’t. - Maria Consigilio.” In the following story, Avantika shared a quote with the line:
“In the end, people always have a way of revealing who they are. You just have to give them space and time to do so. No mask can be worn forever.”

Taking to his IG handle on September 5, 2023, Imran Khan shared a picture of himself, wherein he can be seen donning a black sweater with matching pants and a white shirt underneath. However, in the picture, he was seen pouring water on his head while keeping his eyes closed with full force. Along with the picture, he penned a long note mentioning how he has been dealing with his mental health for a long period of time. He also shared that social media plays a critical role in pouring negativity into everyone's life, and he too, faced all of this. However, on the same note, Imran mentioned that now, he has ample love in his life, helping him heal and come out from his darkness. An excerpt from Imran's note could be read as:
"We all have scars, old wounds that still ache. But love heals."
As soon as Avantika shared the posts on her IG stories, a Reddit user shared the screenshot of one of her quotes on its handle, and netizens were quick to react to it. One Reddit user wrote, “I have empathy for her if she was harmed in the relationship or whatever but cryptic posts like this after your ex literally posted about self harm does not cast her in a good light there is a time and place for everything.” Another one penned, “I really wonder what went wrong between them, back then she used to have a small cameo in each and every one of his films cause apparently they were that much in love.” In addition, a few netizens also hinted at Imran Khan’s alleged relationship with Lekha Washington.

As per many reports in January 2021, Imran was believed to be having an extra-marital affair with South Indian actress, Lekha Washington. A report by Bollywood Hungama claimed that Imran and Lekha were in each other's contact for a long time, and their rumoured affair started without anyone's knowledge. The report also claimed that the actor even bought or rented a property at Pali Hill, Bandra close to his own house in order to meet his alleged ladylove, Lekha away from everyone's eyes. However, a neighbour close to his property reportedly stated that Lekha frequently visited Imran's house, and the two were waiting for his divorce to announce their relationship to the world.
