Bollywood actor and Aamir Khan’s nephew, Imran Khan rose to fame with his debut film, Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na and made every girl go weak in her knees with his charm. After his debut, Imran starred in an array of films, but they didn’t do well at the box office. The handsome actor faced a rough patch in his personal life, too, after he got separated from his wife, Avantika Malik.
The rumours of Avantika and Imran’s divorce have been doing rounds on social media for quite some time. It was also speculated that his extra-marital affair with actress, Lekha Washington was the reason behind his split with Avantika. But now, the actor, in his recent interview opened up about all the speculations.

In a conversation with Vogue India, Imran Khan revealed that he has been involved with Lekha for some time now. The actor also revealed that he has been separated from Avantika since 2019. Elaborating on the same, Imran said:
“I’ve been out of the room for a very long time. In my absence, it has been easy to speak about me. The speculation that I’m romantically involved with Lekha Washington is true. I’m divorced and have been separated since February 2019.”
In the same interview, Imran also spoke about Lekha being called a homewrecker, when it wasn’t her fault at all. Revealing how he came close to Lekha during the lockdown, Imran shared:
“There’s this narrative of Lekha being a homewrecker, which infuriates me because not only is it misogynistic but it also takes away my agency as an individual. Lekha and I grew close during the lockdown, a year and a half after I had been separated from Avantika and almost a year after she had separated from her partner, not husband as it has been widely reported.”

Imran and Lekha have been spotted together on many occasions, but neither of them spoke about their relationship with one another. During Aamir Khan’s daughter, Ira Khan’s wedding, Imran and Lekha made a smashing entry and were seen head-over-heels in love with one another. Lekha also posted a mushy photo with Imran on her social media handle. Lekha looked stunning in traditional attire, whereas Imran looked dapper in a black tuxedo. She also dropped a heart emoticon atop the picture.
Imran Khan married Avantika Malik, his childhood sweetheart, in 2011. The couple was blessed with a baby girl in 2014, whom they lovingly call Imara Malik Khan. However, after 8 years of married life, in 2019, Imran Khan and Avantika Malik's relationship hit a rough patch, and they decided to part ways.
