It was after months of allegations and a heated exchange of words that the actress finally got divorced from her estranged husband, Rajeev, on June 8, 2023. Now, the duo is co-parenting their daughter, Ziana. However, since their divorce, Rajeev and Charu have been sending mixed signals to their fans, leaving everyone confused about their relationship. On July 3, 2023, Charu Asopa took to her IG handle and dropped a video of herself. In the video, the actress was seen sitting inside a car and making a Reel. Dressed in a grey-hued hoodie, Charu opted for bold eyeliner and open tresses. However, it was the sindoor on her forehead that grabbed everyone's attention. Now that Charu has parted ways from her estranged husband, Rajeev, her donning sindoor raised many eyebrows.

Taking to the post's comment section, they started questioning the actress for her choice of wearing sindoor even after her divorce from Rajeev Sen. For the unversed, it was on June 8, 2023, when Charu Asopa's estranged husband, Rajeev Sen announced their divorce by dropping a picture on his IG handle. In the photo, Rajeev could be seen hugging Charu from behind, and the duo looked perfect together. Alongside the picture, the actor penned an emotional note and announced his divorce from his ex-wife. Mentioning that there are no goodbyes, Rajeev wrote:
"There are no good byes! Just two people who just couldn’t hold on to each other. Love will stay. We will always remail mom and dad to our daughter.”

Just a few days after their divorce was finalised, in an interview with ETimes, Rajeev Sen expressed his wish to be reunited with his ex-wife, Charu Asopa. The actor also talked about co-parenting their daughter, Zianna and remaining friends with Charu despite their separation and divorce. He was quoted as saying:
“Love does not end when it comes to my daughter. Charu and I will remain cordial, and having each other’s support for our daughter will be our highest priority. As a father, giving her my maximum time is more important to me, and so is Charu’s well-being. My love and unconditional support will always be there for her. I also hope someday Charu and I can get back together again."
