Famous choreographer, Ganesh Acharya is one of the biggest choreographers in Bollywood's history. From working as a choreographer at the age of 21 in his first film, Anaam (1992), to winning National Film Award for Best Choreography for his incredible work in the song, 'Hawan Kund' from the film, Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, Ganesh has given timeless choreographies to Indian cinema. He has proved his mettle time and again with his work in movies like Bodyguard, Singham, ABCD, Bajirao Mastani, Agneepath, and the list goes on.
Besides his illustrious professional career, Ganesh Acharya was also famous for his alleged ground-breaking affair with Daisy Shah. On January 24, 2014, Daisy's debut film, Jai Ho, opposite Salman Khan was released, and at that time, reports were rife that the lead actress of the film had started ignoring ace choreographer, Ganesh Acharya with whom she was romantically involved with a few months back. Their dating reports had created a huge buzz in the entertainment industry because Ganesh was already a married man and a daughter's father.

Back in those days, reports were rife that Ganesh Acharya and Daisy Shah had developed feelings for each other while working together in the former's dance group. Daisy was one of the best dancers in Ganesh's dance group and later on had become his assistant choreographer, that's when they had reportedly started dating each other. As per the reports, their alleged affair had also gotten serious with time. From Ganesh's marriage with his wife, Vidhi Acharya going in shambles to reports of Daisy receiving a swanky car and a luxurious flat from the choreographer, their relationship rumours were all over the headlines.
When things had started making too much noise in the media, it was then that Ganesh Acharya had come forward and addressed the reports and speculations of him dating Daisy Shah. In an interview with ETimes, when Ganesh was asked about gifting a car and a house to his rumoured girlfriend, Daisy Shah. The ace choreographer had denied it and had clearly stated that he and Daisy were friends and nothing much more than that. Although he had admitted that his team members used to tease him by her name while they had worked together but had also added that it wasn't serious at all. He had said:
"That's not true (In response to gifting a car and house to Daisy Shah). Even my own group would tease me about her (Daisy Shah) when she was with us. But Daisy and I were never in a relationship. I'm happily married."

Going further in the interview, Ganesh Acharya had recalled the time when Daisy Shah was one of the dancers in his team and how he was the one, who had recommended her to Salman Khan for his film, Jai Ho. The iconic choreographer had also admitted that after showcasing some of Daisy's work to Salman while working with him in Dabangg, the latter had confirmed her signing by calling him personally. However, there were reports that after getting a role in Salman Khan's Jai Ho, Daisy had started distancing herself from Ganesh. Confirming the same, Ganesh had said that he was okay if Daisy no longer wanted to be in touch with him. He had stated:
"Salman called me to say that he was signing Daisy as the female lead. Yes, that's true. It's okay, she wanted to go ahead in life. I am happy for her."
For the unversed, Ganesh Acharya had got married to the love of his life, Vidhi, in November 2000. The couple is blessed with a talented daughter named, Soundarya Acharya, who is also a dancer.
