Choreographer, dentist and a popular influencer, Dhanashree Verma is married to ace Indian cricketer, Yuzvendra Chahal. Their love story is simply one of its kind, and it happened during the COVID-19 pandemic, when the entire world was finding ways to keep themselves away from the deadly disease. Now, as Dhanashree entered the dance reality show, Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 11 as a wildcard entry, she revealed her love story with the cricketer. Moreover, she showed her energetic performance on the song, Crazy Kiya Re, and blew the minds of the judges present over there, including Farah Khan, Arshad Warsi and Malaika Arora.
For the unversed, it was on December 22, 2020, when Yuzvendra Chahal and Dhanashree Verma shared their wedding pictures on their respective Instagram handles and mesmerised their fans. Now, on the latest episode of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 11, Dhanashree was asked about her love story with Yuzvendra by the show's hosts, Gauahar Khan and Rithvik Dhanjani. To this, she opened up about a beautiful tale which started when Yuzvendra first approached her during lockdown to learn dance, and the stunning dancer had also agreed to the same. Revealing the same, Dhanashree said:
“During the lockdown no matches were happening and all the cricketers were sitting at home and getting frustrated. During that time Yuzi decided one fine day that he wants to learn dance. He had seen my dance videos on social media and back in the day, I used to teach dance and he approached me to be my student. I agreed to teach him."

In the same conversation, Dhanashree revealed that after two months of training, the ace cricketer turned into a professional dancer. And it clearly shows the amount of attention and dedication Yuzvendra gave to the dance lessons. However, the dancer mentioned how Yuzvendra suddenly made a direct marriage proposal to her. Elaborating more on it, she continued:
"It was a very professional student-teacher relationship, I want to make it very clear. He took two months training from me and I made him a good dancer. Suddenly after two months he directly proposed to me for marriage. Woh batting karte bhi nahi but unhone chakka maar diya direct.”
However, the cricketer's sudden proposal shocked Dhanashree, and she went straight to her mother for a suggestion. Revealing her mother's reaction, Dhanashree mentioned, "The first thing she said was, 'Gaya tera student'." The doting wife further added, "I was a very professional teacher.” But listening to her, the show's judges, Arshad and Farah, pulled her leg that they didn't believe her. Farah even mentioned that Yuzvendra fooled her after going through her social media profile and liking her from the start. Thus, it was an excuse to come close to her.

In 2023, Yuzvendra and Dhanashree's divorce rumours went viral, which started after the star wife dropped 'Chahal' from her surname on Instagram. Now, she is just using her maiden name. It all happened a day after when Yuzvendra shared a cryptic IG story that stated, 'New life loading.' However, after the news led to speculations about their divorce, Yuzvendra posted a note and called the separation news a rumour. The cricketer also requested his fans not to believe in rumours relating to his relationship with Dhanashree and asked people to stop spreading the rumours.
