Dalljiet Kaur has been hitting the headlines ever since the reports of the troubles in her marriage surfaced online. For the unversed, the actress had shifted to Nairobi, Kenya after her second wedding to her husband, Nikhil Patel. For the past few days, Dalljiet and her son, Jaydon, have been in India for the reasons best known to them. Meanwhile, reports are rife that the actress is heading for a divorce from her second husband, Nikhil.
On February 12, 2024, Nikhil Patel took to his Instagram stories and shared a few pictures from his hardcore gym sessions. There is no denying that Nikhil is a fitness freak and loves to sweat it out in the gym. Dropping the pictures from his workout, Nikhil shared that he did 45 minutes of pilates and 171 reps per body part, including chest, shoulders and triceps. However, he also did 50 minutes of running, 5 minutes of Stairmaster and 5 minutes of steam room. Moreover, what caught our attention was that he had deleted all his IG posts featuring Dalljiet.

After Dalljiet and Nikhil's divorce rumours circulated in the media, the actress' spokesperson issued an official statement and addressed the ongoing buzz. According to the statement shared by the ETimes, it was stated that Dalljiet and her son, Jaydon are in India for the actress' dad's and mom's surgeries. Moreover, Dalljiet doesn't want to give any comment on the divorce murmurs and has even requested the media to respect their privacy. The official statement by her team could be read as:
"I hereby state that Dalljiet and Jaydon (her son) are in India currently for Dalljiet’s dad's surgery followed by her Maa's surgery as well, which required them to be beside him. In addition to this, I would only like to say that Dalljiet, at the moment, would not like to make any comments on anything because the kids are in the picture. Please respect her kids' privacy and please consider this as the only statement she would like to give out."
Meanwhile, a report in ETimes stated that Dalljiet Kaur and Nikhil Patel started facing troubles soon after their marriage and were unhappy together. Soon, they realised that they were incompatible. A source close to the couple shared that if Dalljiet and Nick failed to sort out their differences, they might head for separation. Adding that the situation between them worsened in the last two months, the source said:
"Initially, everything seemed fine in their marriage, but it was short-lived. Problems cropped up between the couple soon after. Dalljiet and Nikhil realised they were incompatible. The situation worsened in the last two months. If problems persist, separation might be the only option."

For those who are unaware, Dalljiet Kaur was previously married to actor, Shalin Bhanot, and the couple has a son named Jaydon, who lives with Dalljiet. However, Dalljiet and Shalin parted ways in 2016, after their marriage hit a rough patch. Then, the actress gave love and marriage a second chance and tied the knot with Nikhil Patel, who works in a finance company, on March 18, 2023. Dalljiet's UK-based businessman-husband currently lives in Nairobi, Kenya, and he has two daughters from his previous marriage, Aariyana, 13, and Anika, 8.
