Dharmendra and Hema Malini's daughter, Esha Deol has sent shockwaves on the internet as she announced her separation from her husband, Bharat Takhtani. For the unversed, the duo parted ways after almost 12 yaers of marital bliss and are blessed with two daughters, Radhya and Miraya. While some reports claim that Bharat cheated on Esha, others pointed out the former's regressive behaviour as the cause of their divorce.
During their first interview together, Esha Deol and Bharat Takhtani candidly opened up about their love for each other. The actress revealed her husband did not want her to put on any weight and also called her 'gharelu'. In a conversation with Filmfare, Esha compared herself to her mother, Hema Malini's character, in the film, Satte Pe Satta, as she was the first daughter-in-law in the Takhtani family of seven cousins. She also recalled that her mother advised her to wake up before her husband and help her mother-in-law with household chores in the morning.

As Esha and Bharat have parted ways after almost 12 years of marriage, this interview has resurfaced on the internet. Many netizens have reacted to the same and called out Bharat for his pathetic behaviour. One user penned, "It's extremely good that Esha took her two daughters out of this pathetic mess. Atleast they'll grow in a better environment and will not see their mom being so miserable because of their father." Another wrote, "On one hand he was expecting her to press his clothes and on the other making fun of her for putting in efforts. What kinda psycho person is this Bharat."

In the same interview with Filmfare, Bharat Takhtani was also asked about his tiffs with his wifey, Esha Deol. Responding to the same, the businessman stated that he doesn't like arguments, while Esha has a habit of repeating things. However, Bharat revealed that even if there are some arguments, he is always the one to make up first. He stated:
"I don’t like arguments while she has the habit of repeating things. But I’m the first to make-up, I don’t have an ego."

Unfortunately, after 12 years of marital bliss, Esha and Bharat decided to part ways on February 6, 2024. There were rumours of their separation in the media after Bharat missed Hema Malini’s 75th birthday celebrations and the two completely stopped making any public appearances together. Esha and Bharat shared a joint statement via the Delhi Times to publicly announce their divorce. Their statement could be read as:
“We have mutually and amicably decided to part ways. Through this shift in our lives, the best interests and welfare of our two children is and will be of utmost importance to us. We’d appreciate our privacy is respected.”
