Bollywood actor, Govinda is known for his amazing comic sense and dancing skills. Coming to his personal life, Govinda is happily married to his childhood sweetheart, Sunita Ahuja. Recently. Sunita was spotted at Ujjain's Mahakal temple. However, her visit to the temple's garbha-griha created a stir in the media as she was seen carrying a bag despite the ban. Thus, authorities had to come in the middle and take serious action.
On May 15, 2023, Govinda's wife, Sunita Ahuja visited Ujjain's Mahakal temple. She also took to her IG handle and shared a glimpse of the same. She was wearing a pink saree paired with a matching blouse and gold jewellery. In addition, she opted for a big bindi, a bun hairdo and bold lipstick. She was also seen carrying a big bag along with her. A few viral pictures from her visit to the temple's garbha-griha (sanctum sanctorum) also surfaced on the internet, and this created a problem. For the unversed, the Mahakal temple prohibits devotees from carrying a bag. A priest was also seen posing with Sunita while she was seen carrying the handbag on her shoulder.

As soon as Sunita's pictures from inside the temple surfaced online, people started questioning the authorities about breaking the rules. Soon the matter went to the temple's security system, and the concerned authorities reacted to it. As per a report in the TOI, the temple administrator, Sandeep Soni mentioned that the security team were busy at the gate when Sunita entered the temple. Sandeep added that the security was responsible for ensuring no bags or purses were taken inside. Thus, action has been taken against the officials who were at fault, and further action would also be taken against the concerned person after watching the CCTV footage.
Coming to Govinda and Sunita's marriage, it was a hush-hush filmy affair, but their love story was indeed a fairytale. During an old interview with Simi Garewal, Govinda had revealed how he fell for his wife, Sunita. They first met through family members when Govinda’s uncle and Sunita’s sister were married to one another. Sunita mentioned that her relationship with Govinda was feisty at first, but they felt butterflies in their stomach when their hand accidentally brushed against each other. While Govinda said in the interview that they liked each other a little bit but would often fight.

Further, Govinda shared his belief that revealing his marital status would ruin his career in Bollywood. As keeping marriages a secret was a pretty common norm those days, Govinda and Sunita decided to keep their marriage a secret. But soon the actor realised that it was a mistake. However, he said his wife was kind enough to support his decision. When Sunita was asked in the same conversation if she ever felt bad about it, she denied it.
