In an interview with Bollywood Bubble, Janhvi Kapoor opened up about relationships in today's time. Talking about the same, the actress shared her idea of love and stated that relationships are one of the most important things in her life. She stated that being loved by someone and having a healthy equation with someone are really precious things in life. Calling herself a romantic person, Janhvi said:
"I think I am quite a purist and romantic. So I think I will define it as, well, it's one of the most important things in life, to love to be loved by someone, to have a healthy equation."

Further, Janhvi mentioned that having a healthy relationship with someone in life is really important. The actress stated that a healthy equation allows one to be themselves without caring about their image and image. Elaborating more about it, Janhvi stated that having a beautiful relationship is a great thing as it allows one to grow. In her words:
"I think when you are on the right equation, you can be more yourself than you are when alone and you need that space to grow, you need that affection and encouragement. So I think it's a great thing."
In the same conversation, Janhvi opened up about her parents, Sridevi and Boney Kapoor's love story. Talking about the same, the actress stated her idea of love is based on her parent's relationship. She also revealed that she romanticised her parents' love story. Janhvi mentioned that Sridevi and Boney had set the standards really high when it comes to love and being devoted to each other.

Janhvi's relationship rumours with her childhood bestie, Shikhar Pahariya have been rife in the media for quite some time now. Although, the rumoured lovebirds never talked about their relationship, it was reported that they dated each other even before Janhvi's Bollywood debut with the film, Dhadak. Recently, Shikhar dropped an adorable comment on Janhvi's picture, adding fuel to their relationship rumours. On July 13, 2023, Janhvi had dropped a series of pictures on her IG handle, wherein she could be seen flaunting her curves in an elegant black dress. However, it was Shikhar's love-struck-eyes emojis in the comment section of Janhvi's post that raised many eyebrows.
