Kanika Kapoor is a famous singer in the world of music. The diva never leaves a chance to bless the ears of her fans and make them groove to her melodious songs such as Baby Doll, Jugni Ji, Chittiyaan Kalaiyaan, among others. While a lot of people are familiar with Kanika's melodious voice, not many know the deets about her personal life. For the unversed, Kanika's personal life hasn't been a bed of roses. The singer got married at the age of 18 to an NRI businessman, Raj Chondak, with whom she has three children, Aayana, Samara, and Yuvraaj. However, it was after 14 years of marital bliss that Kanika decided to part ways with her ex-husband, Raj, and the duo was granted a divorce in 2012.
Years later, Kanika Kapoor thought of giving love a second chance and got married to the man of her dreams, Gautam, in 2022. Although Kanika, in several interviews, has opened up about her second marriage, this is the first time she has shed some light about her in-laws.

In a recent interview with Bollywood Bubble, Kanika Kapoor opened up about her second marriage, her husband and in-laws. The singer said that getting married for the second time has been a game-changer for her. Kanika also added that she feels blessed to have a partner who motivates her to go forward in life and do better. Sharing how her hubby keeps her grounded, Kanika said:
"I think that’s been a game-changer for me. I have a very very supportive partner who’s really grounded me. He has given me the strength to be able to go and do this better than before. I don’t think I would have been able to do it how I was before.”
In the same interview, Kanika Kapoor heaped praise on her in-laws. The diva shared that she feels blessed to have such a supportive family. Talking about her saas and sasur, Kanika mentioned that they are really supportive of her. Citing an example of how supportive her children and present in-laws have been, the diva said that it's only because of these people that she and her hubby made this bonding happen. Kanika said:
“I’m very lucky to have a very supportive family a very supportive husband very supportive parents-in-law, children. I think that’s the only way we’ve made this happen.“
During an old interview with Talking Music on JioSaavn back in 2019, Kanika Kapoor opened up about the struggles that she had to go through to achieve the place where she is now. The singer stated that she used to be a normal papad-achaar housewife. The diva also stated that when she first got married, her former in-laws clearly stated that they wouldn't want her to sing.

Kanika Kapoor, in the same interview, mentioned that she persuaded her then-husband and made a deal with him that she wouldn't sing as a professional but would just practice it for herself. The singer mentioned that eventually, her then-hubby agreed. Talking about how she ended up being the voice behind the sassiest hit, Baby Doll, Kanika revealed that it took her six months to materialise the offer from Ekta Kapoor.
