Abhishek Bachchan is all over the news due to the alleged rough patch in his personal life. Abhishek and his wife, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan are reportedly getting separated and the latter has even left the Bachchan household and is living in a separate house. However, the power couple has time and again quashed their separation rumours, hinting that all is well between them. However, their fans are sure that something is off between Aishwarya and Abhishek.
Amid all this, an old video of Abhishek Bachchan is going viral on the internet, which featured Karisma Kapoor and Akshay Kumar. In the video, we can see Akshay jokingly pushing Karisma towards Abhishek ahead of their wedding phase. The actress looked stunning in a black-hued bodycon dress, whereas Akshay and Abhishek were dressed in pantsuits. Ever since this old video of Abhishek and Karisma resurfaced online, netizens have been nostalgic.

For those who don't know, Karisma Kapoor got engaged to Abhishek Bachchan in 2002, on the occasion of Big B's 60th birthday. It was at a grand event when Jaya Bachchan introduced Karisma as her would-be-bahu back then, and the latter was all set to tie the knot with Abhishek. However, after four months, the ex-couple called their courtship quits for the reasons best known to them.
Once, in a report by Deccan Chronicle, a source close to the Bachchan family revealed why Abhishek Bachchan called off his wedding with Karisma Kapoor. The source stated that when Abhishek was engaged to Karisma in 2002, the latter wanted him to move out of his parents' home, which made the actor call off their marriage. However, with Aishwarya, the case was entirely opposite. The source revealed:
"When he was engaged to Karisma Kapoor in 2002, the relationship came apart mainly because she wanted him to move out of his parents' home and live separately after marriage. She understands what it means to be close emotionally and physically to your parents, and she never demanded a home away from Jalsa."

In 2002, Karisma Kapoor and Abhishek Bachchan also worked together in the film, Haan Maine Bhi Pyaar Kiya, directed by Dharmesh Darshan. However, the film couldn’t perform well at the box office. Once, in an interview with Lehren Retro, Darshan talked about the lead actor's equation on set and revealed that Karisma seemed distracted after her separation from Abhishek. The director further shed light on the after-effects of Abhishek and Karisma's break-up and revealed that the actress looked disturbed during the shoot of the film. He said:
“It was the first and last time Abhishek and Karisma did a film together. Abhishek is a very sweet guy, but it wasn’t the same Lolo I’d seen during Raja Hindustani. It showed in the film. I’m not a psychiatrist, I can’t interfere in their relationship. And I was hearing both sides, I’ll be honest with you. And I’m watching also.”
