Aamir Khan's ex-wife, Kiran Rao and Animal director, Sandeep Reddy Vanga locked horns for their comments on each other. A while ago, Sandeep Reddy Vanga pointed fingers at Aamir Khan's work in the past and stated that his second ex-wife slammed him and called his films promoting misogyny. However, Kiran looked shocked during a media interaction and clearly stated that she never watched Sandeep Reddy Vanga's films.
Recently, in an interview with The Quint, Kiran Rao denied ever commenting on Sandeep Reddy Vanga's films. Not only this, Kiran confessed that she had never even seen his films. However, she has often spoken about misogyny and will continue to talk about women's representation on the silver screen. Kiran further added that if Sandeep Reddy Vanga has anything to say to Aamir, he should directly tell him man to man as she is not responsible for Aamir's work. She was quoted as saying:
"If Mr Reddy has something to say to Aamir, he should tell him man to man. I am not responsible for Aamir’s work or Aamir Khan. So, I wish Mr Reddy would address his questions directly to Mr Khan."

Kiran Rao also talked about the song Mr Reddy taunted Aamir for and stated that he had already apologised for the same. She further stated that Aamir is one of the few actors, who admitted that he was wrong to be part of the films which objectified a woman.
During an interview with Dainik Bhaskar, Sandeep Reddy Vanga, without directly naming Kiran Rao, addressed how she criticised his films, while her ex-husband, Aamir Khan's main character in the film, Dil, had threatened the heroine and almost raped her. The director revealed how his assistant had showed him the article from a superstar's second ex-wife, where she stated that Baahubali and Kabir Singh promoted stalking. He said:
"Some people don’t understand what they are saying. One assistant director showed me the article from this superstar’s second ex-wife where she was saying that Baahubali and Kabir Singh promote misogyny, promote stalking. I think she doesn’t understand the difference between stalking and approaching."
