The song was released in 2015 but, to date, is considered the epitome of the anthem of love and romance. So naturally, people were interested in Ellie Goulding's love life too, who is the voice behind the masterpiece.
For the unversed, Ellie Goulding had a whirlwind of romance with art dealer, Caspar Jopling before the duo tied the knot in 2019. The duo is also proud parents to their toddler son, Arthur. However, it seems like the duo have hit a rough patch in their relationship and decided to call it quits.

On February 24, 2024, Ellie Goulding and Caspar Jopling took to their Instagram stories and shared that with heavy hearts, they have decided to call off their marriage. Ellie added that the couple will always remain close friends and continue co-parenting their son. She also requested that people respect their privacy as they navigate this tough time. She further added:
"In light of recent stories, I feel I have been left with no choice but to let you all know that Caspar and I privately separated some time ago," Goulding wrote on Instagram Stories. "We remain the closest of friends and have been successfully co-parenting with our son's best interests at heart. We are committed to protecting our family privacy and thank people in advance for respecting our wishes - we won't be commenting further. Thank you."
Caspar too, took to his Instagram and shared the heartbreaking news with their fans. He added that their near and dear ones had known it for quite some time, but he wanted to share it with the world. Caspar added:
"Hi people - hope you're having a good day. I feel (sadly) that I need to say something on mine and Ellie's current relationship that I hope more than anything will make any final tabloid speculation disappear. Ellie and I made the decision to separate some time ago. Our immediate family and close friends have known for some time - otherwise we chose to do what we could to keep this private. Ellie and I remain the closest of friends and, most importantly, 'co-parents' to the best kiddo in the world, Arthur. This is the last I want to say on this - and please ask that you respect mine and Ellie's privacy. Thanks a lot, Caspar."

Ellie and Caspar had a very public romance for almost three years before they tied the knot in 2019. The couple was very tight-lipped about their relationship as they wanted to protect their privacy, but in an interview, Ellie revealed that the duo never fought. They talk out the issues like a mature couple and try to find the solution.
