Pakistani superstar, Mahira Khan isn't a new name in the entertainment industry. Over the years, the actress has enchanted the audience with her power-packed and versatile performances. She ventured into the world of glamour with the 2011 Pakistani film, Bol, and later, in 2017, she debuted in Bollywood with Shah Rukh Khan's film, Raees.
Apart from being a phenomenal artist, Mahira is also a loving wife and a caring mother. For those who don’t know, the Pakistani actress recently married businessman, Salim Karim in an intimate ceremony in October 2023. She was previously married to Ali Askari, and the estranged couple is co-parenting their only son, Azlan.

Recently, Mahira sat for an interesting interaction with Aamna Haider Isani on her YouTube channel. The two talked about Mahira’s sartorial choices in her projects over the years. While conversing, the host jumped to the topic of the actress’ recent wedding. Mahira’s various looks, starting from her ethereal nikah lehenga to her heavily embellished walima saree, have garnered much attention. Moreover, the actress also cleared the air about her husband, Salim’s profession.
During the interaction, Mahira Khan mentioned that her husband is not a business tycoon. The actress said that neither Salim is 66 years old, nor he is some tycoon. However, she prayed that one day he might become one. While rubbishing off the rumours, Mahira said:
“He is not a tycoon, 66-year-old tycoon! Bechara, my Bechara. Not even close to being a tycoon or 66, but Insha Allah one day, who knows?”

Moreover, in the same interview, Mahira also talked about the heavenly pictures that she took after saying ‘Qubool hai’ to Salim Karim. The actress said that she had no clue that wedding photographers take pictures of the bride and the groom before the nikah takes place. Mahira mentioned that she was adamant that Salim would look at her only when the two had signed their nikah papers. She said:
“I didn't know this but wedding photographers wo aapki tasveerein lete hai before the nikah. That I was like no, I said that I cannot shoot with Salim before we sign the nikah papers. He should see me afterwards right so that's what I wanted. Then finally when I got there, I entered, I was separate in another corner, and he was in another corner, also in a sehra and I had my veil, and we signed the nikah papers, and that's when I walked towards him and he saw me for the first time, and that's what I wanted as.”
Further in the interaction, the Pakistani actress also shared that despite all the hurdles, she had enjoyed her wedding to the fullest. Mahira said that generally, girls don’t have the privilege of enjoying their wedding, but she had thoroughly enjoyed it even though she was handling everything. In her words:
“I really enjoyed my wedding, I have to say, and I don't think that girls get to. I mean, I've been there before, when I was young, and you know, I was just so worried, even here. I was handling everything, but I was more at ease.”
