After his wife, Nita Ambani decided to step down from the Board in 2023, Mukesh appointed his children to the board of Reliance Industries.

If a report in Business Times is to be believed, Mukesh and his wife, Nita, own 0.12% of shares each in RIL. Akash Ambani and Isha Ambani are directors of Reliance Jio Infocomm, while Anant Ambani is the director of Reliance Retail Ventures. However, not many know that the Ambani family member who has the most shares in RIL is Mukesh Ambani's mother, Kokilaben Ambani. The matriarch of the Ambani family owns a 0.24% stake in RIL or 1.57 crore shares, which makes her the largest individual shareholder in the company.
