Former actress, Namrata Shirodkar bagged the title of Miss India in 1993, and soon after that, she represented India in the Miss Universe pageant. However, she couldn't win the beauty pageant. Later, Namrata Shirodkar won the Miss India Universe crown in 1998 and made the entire nation proud. In the same year, the gorgeousness made her Bollywood debut opposite Salman Khan and Twinkle Khanna in the film, Jab Pyaar Kisi Se Hota Hai.

Recently, we stumbled upon an unseen video of Namrata Shirodkar from the beauty pageant, Miss Universe 1993, shared by the Reddit account, Bolly Blinds N Gossip. In the video, Namrata was seen dressed in a golden attire, which she accessorised with a pair of statement earrings. During the question round, the actress was asked if she would like to live forever, to which she replied that she would not want to do that, as she believed no one could live forever. However, the judges were not impressed by Namrata's answer, and thus, she secured sixth place at Miss Universe 1993.

As soon as the video was shared online, many netizens started pointing out that Namrata's answer was not up to the mark. They even claimed that Namrata lost the beauty pageant because of her 'dumb' response and started giving their own theories. Reacting to the same, one user penned, "I did NOT like her answer. It was a hypothetical question and she said it's not possible. Like, what?"Meanwhile, another user commented, "I don’t think Namrata is an intelligent speaker. In an interview with a Telugu YouTube channel, Prema – the journalist, Namrata Shirodkar opened up about her acting career and revealed why she bid adieu to the film industry after her wedding with Mahesh Babu. Talking about the same, the actress revealed that she was never interested in modelling, but she got into it to fulfil her mother's wish. Namrata also stated that her husband, Mahesh always wanted a non-working wife and added that even if she were working in any office, Mahesh would have expected her to leave her job.
Namrata Shirodkar was regarded as one of the most beautiful actresses of her generation. Over the years, she has worked in some amazing films like Vaastav: The Reality, Anji, Pukar, Hero Hindustani, Aaghaaz and many more. The actress last appeared on the big screen in the film, Insaaf: The Justice in 2004, before finally leaving the film industry for good. For the unversed, she was at the peak of her career when she decided to become a housewife and settle down with her husband, Mahesh Babu.
