Netflix’s teen drama, Never Have I Ever, has become one of the most loved web series ever, especially in India. All the actors and actresses who are a part of the series, have become a fan favourite in no time. One of the cast members, Anirudh Pisharody, aka ‘Des’, who appeared on the show's third season, recently tied the knot with his longtime girlfriend, Jill V Dae.
For the unversed, Anirudh Pisharody is an Indian-American actor. He was born in India but grew up in Texas. He has worked in movies and TV series such as 9-1-1, Big Sky, Last Man Standing, and Chicken Girls, more. On the other hand, his now-wife, Jill V Dae, is a producer and director, popular for her works such as Rebirth, The Discovery and A Love Like Ours.

As per Vogue India, Anirudh Pisharody and Jill V Dae got married in a lavish ceremony at Castello Odescalchi di Bracciano, a lakeside castle in Rome. The wedding was a beautiful blend of cultural traditions that featured ceremonies like a Chinese tea ceremony, Indian kalyanam, and a white wedding ceremony.
The couple exchanged vows in the presence of their close friends and family. As per Anirudh, the two first met at a grocery store in 2014, and Dae has no recollection of any such meeting. However, they later bonded over their love for cinema and film-making. Dae recalled:
“To my surprise, Anirudh was enrolled in an East Asian martial arts film class that semester. I was half-impressed and half-mad that he knew more Chinese kung fu films than I did!”
Anirudh popped ‘the’ question to Jill in 2019 after being in a long-distance relationship for a while. He proposed to her at the Hearst Castle in California with a Tiffany & Co. round-cut diamond ring. Jill had taken to her Instagram account to share this news with everyone back then, she captioned her post as, “A million yeses in a million lifetimes.”
Anirudh and Jill Dae knew that Italy had to be their wedding destination, as they fell in love with the country when they visited it a year before their engagement. Due to the pandemic, their wedding had to be postponed indefinitely.
However, the couple was able to make their dream wedding come true, this summer, around July, in Rome, Italy. The weekend celebration was magical and beautifully blended their Indian and Chinese heritage with their global upbringing.

For the Indian ceremony, Anirudh and Jill opted for beautiful South Indian traditional attires. The bride wore a kanjivaram saree with a beige-hued body and golden border, complementing her look with lots of gold jewellery. At the same time, the groom wore a light-golden-hued kurta and a veshti.
While for the white wedding, Anirudh wore an all-Dior attire, featuring a black tuxedo and a white shirt underneath. Jill exuded elegance in a Vera Wang gown. During the ceremony, rain decided to enhance the beauty of their venue by manifolds. Dae reminisced:
“The sky was overcast during the Western ceremony in the garden. As we exchanged our vows and rings, a beam of sunlight shone down on us like a warm spotlight from a parting in the clouds.”
Whereas Anirudh Pisharody recalled the exact moment and said that the double rainbow turned the venue into a magical and serendipitous sight to behold. He said:
“A double rainbow appeared over Lake Bracciano just as guests entered the cocktail hour garden venue. So magical, so serendipitous.”
