Raveena Tandon has been one of the most phenomenal actresses of her generation. The diva counted as one of the superhit divas of her time in the 90s, and even now, she continues to exude her impeccable charm. While the diva wooed the hearts of the audiences in no time, and even was a massive crush to her male fan following, Raveena now reveals that she too, had a crush on her co-star, Rishi Kapoor.
Raveena Tandon and Rishi Kapoor created a stir when they made a terrific performance in the film, Saajan Ke Baaho Mein in the year 1995. Despite having a massive age gap, the duo enthralled the audience with their chemistry. And now, in a recent interview with Lehren Retro, Raveena shared that she had a massive crush on Rishi Kapoor. The diva revealed that as a child, she had attended Rishi and Neetu Singh’s wedding, and ended up sulking throughout the same. She mentioned:
“I was sulking because he got married. I had the biggest crush on him. Everytime he used to go abroad, he used to get me like a doll or something. And I was sulking throughout his wedding. The only consolation was that he got married to Neetu ji. It was the best thing. I love them as a couple. I used to adore both of them. When we finally did a film together, he laughed because I was forced to call him ‘Chintu ji.”

After the tragic demise of Rishi Kapoor in 2020, Raveena Tandon had once shared a priceless picture of herself with the late actor. Well, on what would have been Rishi and Neetu’s 41st wedding anniversary, Raveena had dropped a throwback picture from the wedding of the duo. However, what caught everyone’s attention was that the picture also featured a baby Raveena Tandon, looking unrecognisable. Along with it, she had penned a heartfelt caption where she revealed how Rishi had requested her for the picture so that he could add to his autobiography, Khullam Khulla. The caption could be read as:
“Found a gem. A tad too late though. Thank you @juuhithesoniibabbar for finding this pic. Chintu uncle kept asking me for this pic to put in his autobiography. And somehow I had lost the original. Found it .so that’s me standing with chintu uncle, at his wedding. Wish I'd gotten it a bit earlier. Nonetheless it is treasure for me. #treasuredmemories @neetu54."

In one of her older interviews with Smita Prakash, Raveena Tandon had opened up about the flip side of the glamour world that she had experienced, back in the 90s. The diva mentioned how she frequently became a target of insensitive body shaming, due to her slightly curvy body shape, and was often levied with a lot of derogatory terms.
