Rekha is the evergreen beauty of Bollywood. Every time she walks at an event or attends an award night, she leaves a magical presence. She is famous for her silk and Kanjeevaram sarees with gold jewellery and red lipstick. Another highlight of her look has been her sindoor. While Rekha is not married, the actress applies a sindoor, which often raises eyebrows. Recently, we stumbled upon Rekha's biography, written by Yasser Usman, wherein he claimed she shares a mysterious relationship with her secretary.
If rumours are to be believed, Rekha was often romantically linked with Jeetendra and Vinod Khanna. However, it was her affair with Amitabh Bachchan that made headlines. But there is another person in her life that people claim holds a special place in her heart. Rekha's friendship with her secretary, Farzana often grabs the media glare. According to the writer, Yasser Usman, Rekha shares a mysterious relationship with Farzana.

The writer claimed that Farzana is the only one who is permitted access to Rekha's bedroom. She controls every minute detail of her life. Strangely, they have been together for over three decades. In fact, everyone in the film fraternity knows that Rekha doesn't move an ounce without Farzana.
Rekha’s relationship with Farzana evolved over the years. She started her career as an assistant director but realised that it wasn’t her cup of tea. In an interview with Masala, the writer of Rekha’s biography, Yasser Usman revealed how Farzana ended up with Rekha. He was quoted as saying:
"Farzana’s father was a production controller. When she initially entered the industry, she wanted to be a director. She even assisted some of them. Soon after she realised it wasn’t her cup of tea. Farzana then got in touch with Rekha and became her secretary-cum-manager in the mid-80s. So it has been a long association of 30 years. There was a time when Farzana’s mother was sick, so she would attend to her in the morning and then rush to Rekha; she has literally given her life for Rekha. Today, it is impossible to reach out to Rekha without going through Farzana."

In 1990, Rekha's husband, Mukesh Aggarwal, who was a Delhi-based businessman, ended his life after committing suicide, while the actress was in London. Mukesh Aggarwal left a suicide note claiming that no one was responsible for his end, the nation was sure that Rekha's cold behaviour added to his depression. Subhash Ghai in a media interaction stated that Rekha had put a blot on the face of the industry.
Subhash Ghai was quoted as saying:
"Rekha has put such a blot on the face of the film industry that it’ll be difficult to wash it away. I think after this, any respectable family will think twice before accepting any actor as their bahu. It’s going to be tough even professionally for her. No conscientious director will work with Rekha ever again. How will the audience accept her as Bharat ki nari or insaf ki devi (A woman of India or a proponent of justice)?"
