Last month, Shakti Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki actress, Rubina Dilaik, confirmed that she is getting married to her long-time boyfriend, Abhinav Shukla. Talking to a leading media house, Rubina was quoted as saying, “Yes we are taking our relationship forward to a new phase a phase where we will celebrate each other’s imperfection and create memories for a lifetime”. And now, we’ve got another news for the fans to rejoice. Yes, you guessed it correctly. Rubina Dilaik and Abhinav Shukla are now engaged. Rubina took to her Instagram handle and shared a picture in which she can be seen flaunting her engagement ring. Captioning the pic, she wrote, “And I Said “YES””. Abhinav also shared the same picture and wrote, “Thank You!” Take a look at her pic and the engagement ring:
Earlier, as per a report in the Indian Express, Rubina and Abhinav had confirmed that their wedding would take place on June 21, 2018. It was also reported that the wedding would be held in Shimla, Rubina’s hometown. The pre-wedding rituals, reportedly, are scheduled in Ludhiana, Abhinav’s hometown. The report suggested, “Abhinav and Rubina are nature lovers and wanted to get married amid a similar setting. With most of Rubina’s relatives in Shimla, and the place offering such locales, the two zeroed upon the town for their big day. Preparations have begun in full swing and there’s already a sense of happiness around their families and friends”.
Because Rubina is from Himachal and Abhinav is a Punjabi, we can expect their wedding to have a mix of Himachali and Punjabi rituals. Talking about the same, Rubina opened up to the Indian Express and said, “We both wanted it to be an outdoor affair. Abhinav, being an adventure junkie, wished to exchange vows amidst the mountains, in the lap of nature. I, too, wanted a day wedding with lots of natural light and greenery around”.
Rubina also revealed that she is not concerned about wedding jitters. She said, “I am not someone who will have jitters. The idea is to grow old together and know each other better, gradually. I am looking forward to exploring new things with him by my side. I believe that one shouldn’t know everything about his/her partner at one go. As per a report in the India Today, the wedding will be lavish but the couple wants it to be intimate. It is reported, “Grandeur on the level of involvement of people we would not be able to say that, but grandeur on the level of celebration, where we want to celebrate each other's presence and the moment when we unite together in the traditional Indian way, that's going to be grand”.
Talking about the wedding preparations, Rubina said, “We are personally involved in every aspect of it like planning, costumes, how our mandap will look like, how will everybody dress up. She is getting into the details of all this. She is painstakingly doing so much of detailing”.
