The stunning South Indian actress, Samantha Ruth Prabhu, always mesmerises everyone with her acting performances and fashion quotient. From being one of India's highest-paid actresses to making headlines on the OTT platform with her work in The Family Man 2, Samantha is riding high on the professional front. Currently, she is extremely busy with the promotions of her upcoming film, Shaakuntalam. The film will hit theatres on April 14, 2023, and Samantha will be seen alongside a stellar cast of Mohan Babu, Dev Mohan, Sachin Khedekar and many more.
In an interview with India Today, Samantha Ruth Prabhu opened up about her character in the movie, Shaakuntalam and shared how the film's entire plot revolves around love. Opening up about her views on the concept of love, Samantha clearly stated that she still believes in love.

The actress also addressed her separation from Naga Chaitanya and admitted that one failed relationship doesn’t define her life. Not only this, Samantha bashed the reports speculating that she had become bitter and cynical after what had happened between her and Naga. Opening up about the same, she bashed the reports and stated how she still has so much love to give. She said:
"I have so much love to give. I'm still extremely loving. One failed relationship does not mean that I become cynical and bitter."
Further, in the same interview, Samantha Ruth Prabhu also talked about herself as a person and reflected on her character in the film, Shaakuntalam. The actress revealed that her character in the film is a kind of a woman, who is independent and trusts in her own beliefs. The actress also added that her character resonates with her real personality as she is also truthful in nature. She explained:
"She appeals to the contemporary woman in me. She is fiercely independent, she has beliefs, she goes against societal norms. But she is unwaveringly truthful and loving in her devotion, even in the hardest parts of her journey. She does it with so much of grace and dignity. And those were the parts that I connected to."

For the unversed, Samantha Ruth Prabhu was diagnosed with Myositis a few months back, and since then, she has received a lot of love and support from her massive fanbase. For the uninitiated, Myositis is a disease that attacks a person’s muscles and weakens the body. However, as of now, Samantha is inspiring everyone with how she is dealing with Myositis as she hasn’t stopped working and has instead taken a more strict approach to her diet and lifestyle.
While most of the people were supporting her, a person tried to mock the actress with a nasty troll that mentioned how Samantha lost her charm after she was diagnosed with Myositis. However, the actress didn’t let it go and gave a befitting response to the troll. She retweeted the insensitive post and penned a befitting reply to the person, which speaks volumes about her character. Samantha’s reply could be read as:
"I pray you never have to go through months of treatment and medication like I did .. And here’s some love from me to add to your glow."
