Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh's little daughter, Sara Ali Khan is finally living the dream she saw in her childhood. The actress might be just a film old, but the diva is already receiving lots and lots of praises for this month released debut film, Kedarnath. And we can safely say she is one of the best debutante actors who entered the world of glam and glitz. Sara has done a great job in Abhishek Kapoor's directorial film opposite Sushant Singh Rajput which is a romance-drama. And since, Sara comes from a family of great actors and actresses, so it must be important for her to get the reviews of her family and how they felt about her skills. And in a recent interview with DNA, Sara revealed her mom, Amrita Singh's reaction. The actress said, "Mom had heard the narration and she had also seen some rushes. But she still cried in the climax, so that was a big one for me". Aww, isn't it cute?
A few days back the fashionista, Sara talked about her weight issue and her mom's reaction after seeing her fit and fabulous look. In an interview with SpotboyE.com, the actress said, “I was 96 kg at the time when I told my mother, sitting on the bed crying and saying, ‘Mom, all I want to do is become an actor.’ Then, she said that you need to lose weight. And, it took me about a year-and-half to lose that weight. So, I completed the remaining two years of my graduation in a year so that I can return and start working early.” Well, now that's an inspiring transformation story from flabby 96 kg girl to hot fashionista setting trends. She further added, “I was always a chubby girl, but after going to the States, for the first two years, I put on a lot of weight and then last year, I burned all those kilos there itself. I think America is the place where you can really choose. Jahaan aapko pizza milta hain, wahin aapko protein milta hain. Jahaan pe chocolate milta hain, wahin aapko salad milta hain. That was it. So, I lost all the weight that I had gained there and lots more by working out and maintaining a disciplined life." You go girl!
When asked if she sent the pictures of her shedding weight back home, Sara said, “I didn't. September was the start of the semester and December was the end. In those 4 months, I even refrained from face-timing her. And, she recognised me at the airport only because of my suitcases; I was looking completely different. Obviously, 30 kg down, you ARE going to look different.”
Sara is also known for her compassionate gestures. As just before the release of her debut film Kedarnath, she had sent handwritten letters to the paparazzi, thanking them for always being warm towards her even before the release for her first film. In the note, she further praised them for clicking such wonderful pictures of her and always putting the wonderful captions for it. The handwritten note was shared on the Instagram handle of a leading paparazzo, Viral Bhayani and was captioned as, “Koffee with #saraalikhan”. He further wrote, “She is old school, man. She wrote this letter herself and sent it out to the photographers. She is taking us out for coffee. Wow, no one writes letters anymore unless it is addressed to the BMC.
