But like every other couple, they, too, had their fair share of problems in their relationship. And SRK, in one of his old interviews, had revealed how possessive he was for his darling wifey.

In a throwback interview from 1995, Shah Rukh Khan opened up about being extremely possessive towards his darling wifey, Gauri Khan. Talking about the same, the Badshah of Bollywood revealed that he would get irritated even if his darling wife talked to any boy, even if he was a small 6-year-old child. Elaborating about how slowly things changed as they evolved in their relationship, Shah Rukh said:
"Once, I was insanely possessive about my wife. I'd get irritated even if she spoke to a six-year-old boy. Today I've eased up. I am more secure."
In another interview with Shah Rukh Khan from 1995, the actor had opened up about his cutesy romance with his darling wifey, Gauri Khan. Talking more about it, the actor revealed one of his favourite things about the rainy season and stated that he loves walking in the rain with his darling wifey, Gauri. Shah Rukh added that contrary to him, Gauri doesn't like to get wet because of the fear of falling ill.
Shah Rukh Khan further revealed how he loves teasing his wifey, Gauri. Elaborating more about it, the actor revealed that since Gauri doesn't like getting wet in the rain, he drags her into the shower. In his words:
"I love walking in the rain with Gauri. But she refuses to get wet because we could catch a cold. So, I drag her into the shower."

In an old interview with Simi Garewal on her talk show, Rendezvous With Simi Garewal, Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan opened up about the initial days of their relationship. Talking about the same, the star wife revealed how Shah Rukh had always been possessive about her. She also revealed how she dealt with his possessiveness and mentioned that she left him for a long period of time. In her words:
"It was possessiveness. It has turned to protectiveness. He was disgustingly possessive, he was sick. He wouldn’t let me wear a white shirt because he thought that it was transparent. It was a kink in the mind, I think. kicked him and left him for very long. He had to learn because I said, ‘Okay, bye. Otherwise you will never see me again."
