Mukti Mohan’s wedding with the love of her life, Kunal Thakur has been talk of the Tinseltown for quite some time now. While the duo kept their relationship under wraps for the longest time, it was ever since that their wedding pictures surfaced on the internet, that fans cannot keep calm. For the unversed, the duo tied the knot on December 10, 2023. While social media is filled with tons of glimpses from different moments of the couple’s nuptials, we recently caught hold of their fun-filled mehendi ceremony.
Taking to her IG handle on December 16, 2023, Shakti Mohan dropped adorable snapshots of her sister, Mukti Mohan’s mehendi celebrations. The glimpses simply spoke volumes about the intimate affair the family had on the occasion, which was filled with love, laughter and happiness. For her special day, Mukti ditched traditional green attire and instead looked lovely in a yellow-hued lehenga. Her outfit included heavy embroidery, sequin and zari work all over it. She teamed her look with slightly heavy jhumkas and matching maang-teeka that featured floral adornments. A loosely tied braid hairstyle, funky glasses and her arms full of mehendi design were the stars of her look.

Well, the then-bride-to-be, Mukti had a lot of fun on her mehendi and the glimpses are just the proof. From shaking a leg with her twin sister, Shakti Mohan to giving her a warm embrace, the diva enjoyed her heart out. Talking about her bridesmaids, Shakti Mohan looked breathtaking in an ivory and red-hued embellished lehenga, that featured intricate floral embroidery on each of its panels. On the other hand, Neeti Mohan looked pretty in a pastel green-hued lehenga teamed with a matching choli with cape sleeves.
Back on December 12, 2023, Shakti Mohan had dropped another bunch of beautifully captured moments from her twin sister, Mukti Mohan’s sangeet night. For the evening, while, Mukti dazzled in a blue-hued embellished lehenga, featuring tassel detailing all over it, Shakti looked beautiful in a red lehenga featuring sequin work. Neeti Mohan, on the other hand, looked pretty in a beige-hued lehenga with red highlights.
In the glimpses, the Mohan sisters were seen having a blast as they sang and danced their hearts out. Moreover, it was Shakti Mohan who took the charge of being the cutest saali sahiba as she had a lot of fun with both her jijus, Nihar Pandya and Kunal Thakur.

In an interview with ETimes right after their wedding, Mukti Mohan and Kunal Thakur opened up about their unheard love story. The couple mentioned that they met one another professionally at first, post which they fell in love. Moreover, Mukti Mohan expressed how they dated one another for three years without the world knowing about it, since they wanted to keep it pure. Elaborating more, Mukti mentioned:
“We met professionally for a film. There is a lot of power in not revealing our vulnerabilities. At heart we both are kids. The day we met, it was an instant connection. I wanted to keep it pure. We made sure that no one was aware of it. Also, when you are in a relationship, you want to keep it personal. Only when it has translated into a wedding, you tell the world."
