Lovebirds, Shin Seong and Park So Young made the world drool over their romantic rendezvous for almost a year now, but alas, their relationship did not last long. The couple announced their relationship in 2023 via their respective agencies. Their fans were elated at the news of their favourite stars embarking on a new journey together. However, the duo split on a very public platform, which was televised for the world to see.
Park So Young is a South Korean actress who has worked in several dramas and movies like Red Family, Cafe Midnight, Scarlet Innocence and more. She started her acting career at a very young age and has since made a place for herself in the industry. Shin Seong is an actor and singer who has also judged the musical reality show, King Of Singers. Apart from this, he has featured in shows like The Burning Trotman, The Burning Roses, Real Granny and more.

On February 7, 2024, Shin Seong and Park So Young appeared in the dating reality show, Groom Studies, where they shared that they regret making their relationship public. Park So Young added that initially, they were very happy, but with each passing day, the pressure of getting married downed them. In her words:
“At first, I was happy, but as time went by, it became a burden. Every day, I was getting older than the age I thought I would get married, and this freaked me out. I think this put even more pressure on oppa.”
Shin Seong divulged that he wanted to give his wife the best life, but he could not understand how to do it for Park So Young, which bothered him. He also shared that he has never been rich, which triggered his insecurities, and he realises he is not getting any younger. All these issues accumulated, and the two mutually decided to split with immense respect for each other in their hearts. Shin Seong added:
“As time went by, I had more doubts. As I’m not young, I have become more cautious. I struggled for a long time, and I have never been rich, so I want to be able to give my wife everything. Because of this, I am still worried I am not ready to get married. Let’s go back to who we were before we met, and each become happier."

Park So Young just wrapped shooting for the drama, Call My Agent and will be next seen in the drama, Abyss and Mysterious Nurse. As for Shin Seong, the artist is currently focusing on his musical career and taking a break from acting.
