As per the reports earlier, Priyanka and Nick were supposed to take their saat pheres on December 2 followed by a Christian wedding on December 3. But according to the latest report, Priyanka and Nick will exchange wedding vows on December 2 morning and at the night, they will have an elaborate Hindu wedding at night. For the Christian wedding, while the bride will be seen wearing a custom-made Ralph Lauren gown and for the Hindu wedding, she might wear either a red creation by Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla or Sabyasachi Mukherjee.
Priyanka and Nick's cocktail night is going on at Umaid Bhawan Palace, Jodhpur and we finally got the first glimpse of the guest. The Ambani clan inclunding Nita and Mukesh Ambani along with his soon-to-be-married daughter, Isha Ambani and alleged choti bahu, Radhika Merchant have arrived at the venue to attend the sangeet. Isha Ambani is also set to get married to her fiance, Anand Piramal on December 12, 2018 at her residence Antilia and her pre-wedding ceremonies will kickstart in Udaipur. On a chat show, The Daily Show, Nick Jonas opened up about his relationship with Priyanka Chopra and revealed why he felt that she is the ‘one’ for him. Nick had stated, "So many things. I could go into all of it and get all mushy but, I think the thing that really connected both of us is our love for family and faith and the importance of being connected to those who are always going to be there for you. We found that in each other as well, which is a beautiful thing. I'm excited to start our life together."
When the paparazzi asked Priyanka Chopra’s mother, Madhu Chopra as to why they chose Jodhpur as the wedding destination, she retorted, “Mera bahut pasandida shehar hai. Saari duniya chhodkar hum yahaan aaye hain. (This city is my favourite. We left aside the whole world to come to this place).” Sharing the wedding preparations, she added, “Ab shaadi dekh lena. Abhi se kya bataaun. Jab ho jaaye, tab baat karenge (You will see it when it happens. What do I say about it now? We will talk when it happens) (sic).”
According the Priyanka and Nick’s Vogue interview, it was in 2016 when they officially met for a drink at the Carlyle Hotel, New York. After their meeting, Priyanka invited Nick to her apartment where her mother, Madhu Chopra was watching Law & Order in her nightgown. It was the first time when Madhu Chopra met her future son-in-law, Nick Jonas. Priyanka shared, “We hung out for a couple of hours. Nick interrupted Priyanka and said, “There was no kiss. There was nothing.” Recalling that night, Nick added, “She’s still upset about that. Your mom was in the house! I thought it was a respectful first night.” Priyanka concluded by replying, “It was too respectful if you ask me.”
In another interview, Nick summed up his relationship with Priyanka and shared their love story, “We met through a friend. We got connected first over text and we started talking for a while. It was about six months before we met up in person. We actually attended the MET Gala, a few years ago together and had a great time. We were just friends and our lives were taking us to different places.”
Speaking about their camaraderie, Nick had stated in an interview with USA Today, “You have to be honest with your other half. That’s where the beauty of a real relationship is, being able to be your authentic self. I have that in my life now.” He further stated, “It’s really about trying to keep as much time as you can for yourselves.
