Aamir Khan's daughter, Ira Khan recently got married to the man of her dreams, Nupur Shikhare. Their wedding is counted as one of the longest-running ones in Bollywood. The festivities began with Ira and Nupur registering their marriage on January 3, 2024, in Mumbai, followed by a series of pre-wedding events, including mehendi, sangeets, pajama party and others in Udaipur to finally their white wedding on January 10, 2024. Thus, the couple was also heavily drenched in the entire process, and only a few hours ago, Ira shared some lovely moments from her pre-wedding diaries. But once again, she became the target of social media flak as she shared a photo of herself smoking a cigarette.
Taking to her IG handle, Ira Khan shared an array of pictures from her pre-wedding diaries. From applying under-eye masks with her friend, posing with her close ones while being decked up in traditional attires or romantically posing with her love, Nupur Shikhare, just moments before beginning their marital bliss, Ira was seen simply soaked in the enthusiasm of her wedding. Moreover, in some more pictures, we get to see her guests holding beer cans while enjoying her pre-wedding festivities and many more such activities.

However, Ira's last picture featuring her smoking a cigarette, caught the netizens' attention, who mercilessly posted mean comments on the same. While one user wrote, "Itni besharmi par toh Aamir Khan ki beti hi utar sakti hai. Jo ki daru party ki photo bhi share kar sakti hai", another netizen commented, "Cygrite (cigarette) photo is not good." One more user called it a complete irony as Ira's husband, Nupur is a fitness trainer. The social media user's comment can be read as:
"Kind of dark ironic.. like..I got hitched to a fitness trainer and guys, here I am (cigarette emoji) puffing away and winking. Weird."
Well, Ira has been bashed for several other things at her wedding. However, without giving any heed to them, she kept enjoying her D-Day to its fullest. For instance, Ira opted for a royal blue-hued lehenga, featuring silver embroidery all over it for her sangeet ceremony. She teamed it with a matching choli and a red-hued hooded cloak. She left her tresses open and opted for glam makeup. However, it was her look for her sangeet ceremony that raised many eyebrows. Soon after the pictures were posted, unsatisfied netizens slammed her for the same with their comments.

Previously, a Reddit user shared a video, featuring Nupur with his baaratis at his registry wedding with Ira Khan. In the video, the then-groom-to-be was initially seen jogging with his friends amid the Mumbai traffic from Santa Cruz to Bandra, to reach the wedding venue while avoiding the traffic jam. Afterwards, in the same video, Nupur was seen dancing his heart out with the baaratis and also hugged his mother and a few other relatives. All the while, in the video, Aamir Khan's damad, Nupur was spotted being decked up in a black sleeveless t-shirt with white shorts and a pair of sky-blue sneakers. Later, Nupur was also seen registering his marriage with Ira in the same attire. This irked the netizens, and while some penned mean comments about Nupur's attire, some mentioned that it was the 'weirdest baarat they have ever seen'.
