When Kiara Advani's debut film, Fugly got released, Juhi Chawla gave her a shoutout on social media. The yesteryear actress called Kiara her niece and urged her fans to watch the latter's debut film. As soon as the post surfaced on Reddit, netizens started reacting to it. There is no denying that Kiara is a talented actress but her constant cribbing about being an outsider irked the netizens. One user commented, "Look Kiara I really like you but can you please stop with this outsider narrative. Behen please, mat kar. Thodi bohot likeability thi vo bhi chali jayegi. Once in an interview, Kiara Advani was asked to spill the beans about how she knows Salman Khan and Juhi Chawla. Responding to the same, the actress mentioned that the yesteryear actors were her family friends, and she had seen them while growing up. She also called Juhi extremely beautiful and shared that the latter is her loving aunty who has witnessed all her antics since her birth. Kiara added:
“They’re both family friends. My parents have grown up with them. Juhi aunty, should I even call her aunty? She’s young and so beautiful, I don’t want to call her aunty. She’s someone who’s seen me grow up right since I was born. She’s seen me doing all this nautanki since I was a kid.”

Being a family friend, Juhi Chawla was a part of Sidharth and Kiara's intimate wedding.
