Mouni Roy is one of the most gorgeous and talented divas of Tinseltown. She made her journey into showbiz by working extensively in television serials. Shows like Devon Ke Dev Mahadev, Naagin, Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, Kasturi among others gave her widespread fame and recognition across the households. Thereafter, she became a part of films like Romeo Akbar Walter, Made In China and Brahmastra: Part One-Shiva, wherein she shined bright through her brilliance. In her personal life, the diva tied the knot with her long-time boyfriend and businessman, Suraj Nambiar on January 27, 2022.
In a recent interaction with News18, Mouni Roy spoke up about the matters of her heart and revealed how she has always remained an old-school romantic at heart. She mentioned how qualities like writing letters and long telephonic conversations are the most perfect ideal of romance. Moreover, she also recalled her own sweet love story with hubby, Suraj and revealed how everything felt very organic for both of them. In her words:
“I am a hard-core romantic person. I believe in old school romance and for me writing letters and having long conversations over the phone is romantic. Suraj and I have known each other for five years and it was very organic with us. It was a typical boy-meets-girl and we realised that we complement each other in many ways.”

For the unversed, Mouni is all set to make her comeback onto the small screen and host the reality show, Temptation Island. Taking reference from the theme of the show, the diva spoke about how important it is to churn out self-love while still being in a relationship. Mouni shared how patience, understanding and honesty are crucial for any relationship to work. She mentioned:
“First of all you need to have self-love. If you don’t love yourself, you can’t love your partner. I also believe that people need to be patient. Today, we have so many options that people do not give each other a chance. You need to understand the relationship, be honest about your feelings and the utmost thing is to respect each other.”
In an earlier interview with BollywoodLife, Mouni Roy had spilt beans on her life post marriage with Suraj Nambiar and revealed whether she would embrace motherhood anytime soon. She mentioned how she had quite a few projects lined up in her kitty and even her hubby wished to focus on his career, thus the question of motherhood was far beyond thought for both of them. Concluding her statement, Mouni also mentioned that none of her immediate or extended family members ever pressurised her to have a child, and on the contrary, they were massively supportive of both her and Suraj’s career.

Back on January 27, 2023, Mouni Roy had taken to their social media handles and dropped stunning pictures of themselves, as they rang in their first wedding anniversary. The duo visited a temple together, post which they posed with one another for some stunning pictures. Mouni looked stunning in a white-hued lacy sheer saree and donned her true Bengali avatar, as she completed her look with sindoor parted hair and a pair of shankha-pola in both her hands. Suraj, on the other hand, looked dapper in a white-hued kurta-pyjama set.
