The innovative entrepreneur, Nikhil Nanda was born on March 18, 1974, in New Delhi to his parents, Rajan Nanda and Ritu Nanda. While his father was a businessman and worked in their family business, Escorts Limited, Nikhil's mother, Ritu, used to work at a life insurance company. Talking about the educational qualifications of Nikhil Nanda, he completed his schooling at Dehradun's The Doon School.
Soon after completing his schooling in Dehradun, Nikhil Nanda went to the USA and took admission in Wharton Business School, University of Pennsylvania, in order to complete his degree in Business Management in Finance and Marketing. However, it was in October 2005 that he started working at Escorts Limited in the position of Chief Operating Officer (COO) at the age of 31. Since then, Nikhil Nanda has been right at the heart of his family business, pulling all the strings and making an impactful contribution to take it to a whole new level. According to several reports, Nikhil Nanda's company, Escorts Limited, has a revenue of Rs. 7014 crores and provides employment to more than 10,000 people across the world.
For the unversed, Nikhil Nanda's mother, Ritu Nanda belongs to the first family of Indian cinema, The Kapoors. She was the daughter of legendary actor and Hindi cinema's showman, Raj Kapoor and Krishna Kapoor. Ritu was blessed with four siblings, Reema Kapoor, Rajiv Kapoor, Randhir Kapoor and Rishi Kapoor, who always adored her. Time and again, we have heard Nikhil recalling the precious moments he spent with his maternal grandfather, Raj Kapoor.
Since his wedding to Amitabh Bachchan's daughter, Shweta Bachchan back on February 16, 1997, Nikhil Nanda started being recognised as the son-in-law of Amitabh Bachchan. Nikhil Nanda and Shweta Bachchan got married on February 16, 1997, and after almost 10 months, on December 6, 1997, the couple welcomed their first child. The couple was blessed with a baby girl and named her Navya Naveli Nanda.
Soon, the couple embraced parenthood for the second time, as Shweta gave birth to a baby boy on November 23, 2000, whom they named Agastya. Talking about their respective professions, while Navya is an entrepreneur, Agastya made his acting debut in Bollywood with Zoya Akhtar's The Archies.
