Pakistani actor, Aagha Ali has made a name for himself in the country’s showbiz with TV shows such as Yaad Piya Ki Aaye, Khuda Dekh Raha Hai, Mere Bewafa, Khoob Seerat, Dil-e-Ghumshuda, Mujhe Khuda Pay Yaqeen Hai, and many more. Along with a successful acting career, the 37-year-old Pakistani star has also tried his hands in the music industry. He is a composer, lyricist and singer as well. Aagha has roots in the industry. His father, Agha Sikandar, was a popular veteran actor of his time.
Recently, the Yaad Piya Ki Aaye actor made an appearance on Tabish Hashmi's chat show, Hasna Mana Hai, where he talked about his experience in the entertainment industry. During the conversation, Aagha casually spoke about his encounters with the boyfriends of his co-stars and his reputation in the industry.

During the show, Tabish said that there was a time when the boyfriends, fiances, and husbands of several actresses would not let them work with Aagha Ali. The host then jokingly asked why the actor had such a bad reputation in the industry. Aagha narrated how he would speak to his producers to convince them that he did not have any issues with the boyfriend or partners of his female co-workers. He said:
“Exactly 2016-17 ki baat hai ki main jo drama sign karta tha, shoot aane mein kuch din rehte the toh mere ko producer ka phone aata tha ‘Yaar, aapka heroine s koi masla hai’, maine kaha nahi yaar main toh kabhi mila bhi nahi hun inse. ‘Toh inke mangetar se koi jhagda’? Maine kaha mereko pata hi nahi kaun mangetar hai inka. ‘Wo toh ijazat hi nahi de raha ki kaam kare saath aap’ Maine kaha ji kyun? Keh rahe ki ‘darr raha ladka bohot’ Maine kaha kis baat pe darr raha hai.”
Aagha Ali further recalled the time when he actually had to call up the fiances of two heroines and convince them. He revealed that he would ask their fiances as to why they would not let their partners work with him. Aagha further shared that once there was this well-known heroine, and she just started dating a guy who was also an actor himself, even though he was insecure about Aagha. The actor further added:
“Uss dramein ke producer Humayun bhai they, unhone mujhse uss din poocha tha ki aisi kya insecurity hai bhai, kya kar dete ho tum.”

When the host, Tabish asked about the reason behind such recurring experiences. Agha explained that the characters he portrayed reel life created a particular perception of the actor in the minds of people. He further shared that he did not attend any parties or socialise much, as a result, people formed a certain image of him based solely on the roles he played on-screen. Aagha Ali said:
“Mujhe lagta hai ki sirf ek phenomena, basically aap ki characters ke wajah se na aapka ek image ban jata hai aur maine jabe naya naya kaam shuru kiya tha main bilkul socialise nahi karta tha, main kisi party main nahi jata tha. Toh logon ne khud hi ek perception bana liya ki main jaise characters karta hun, main waisa hi hun. Shayad aisi koi khaas baat unko nazar aati thi mere mein. I think life mein kisi ko bhi itna insecure nahi hona chahiye.”
