There is no denying the fact that Mannara Chopra is one of the most entertaining contestants of Bigg Boss 17. The actress has awed everyone with her cute antics and bold personality. In a recent turn of events, Mannara Chopra, along with Munawar Faruqui, Arun Mahashetty and Abhishek Kumar, have aced the last task and qualified for the finale week. This disappointed the remaining contestants, Ankita Lokhande, Ayesha Khan, Isha Malviya and Vicky Jain, and they picked up a fight with the opposite team. However, the brawl soon turned ugly.
For those who are unaware, Mannara Chopra is the cousin sister of Priyanka Chopra and Parineeti Chopra. The Chopra clan is very close knit and often backs each other in difficult times. Mannara Chopra's PR team uploaded a video on their Instagram where they highlighted how Ankita Lokhande, Ayesha Khan and Isha Malviya not only spoke to Mannara in a very degrading tone and language but also physically hit her during the brawl.

In the same post, Priyanka Chopra's mother, Madhu Chopra, commented and expressed her dissatisfaction over the contestants' behaviour in the house. In the comments section, Madhu Chopra supported Mannara and wrote, "Oh My God! They are behaving uncivilised." For the unversed, Priyanka Chopra's dad and Mannara's mother are brothers and sisters, which makes Madhu Chopra, Mannara's mammi.
Mannara Chopra debuted in the entertainment industry in 2014 with the film, Prema Geema Jantha Na. During that time, her name was Barbie Handa, which she later changed to Mannara Chopra. Barbie is Mannara's birth name. In an interview, Mannara revealed that during the unofficial screening of her first film, her cousin sister suggested her to change her name as the name, 'Barbie' doesn't fits well with the mindset of the country. Mannara further added:
"The name Barbie probably doesn't gel well with the interiors of our country. People will not connect to the name."

Taking her suggestion, Mannara made a list of possible names for her. Her sister's name is Mitali, so she also wanted her second name to begin with 'M'. Then she selected Mannara as she liked the name, which even rhymed with Mitali. She added that the meaning of her name is 'shining'.
