Rakul Preet Singh is one of the most popular actresses in the film industry. The diva has impressed zillions of audiences with her power-packed performances, stunning looks and scintillating personality. More recently, Rakul grabbed limelight for her fairytale wedding with actor-turned-filmmaker, Jackky Bhagnani. And now, the newly-married actress talked about her life post-marriage and shared a few anecdotes from the same.
In a recent interaction with NDTV, Rakul Preet Singh opened up about her life post-marriage. When asked how the new phase of her life had been treating her, the diva remarked that it has been well and that she still takes time to adjust to her identity of Mrs. Bhagnani. Revealing how the two of them prefer to spend their time together, Rakul expressed:
“In fact, it takes me a second when people call me Mrs and I’m like, oh ok! I mean touchwood, and I really hope it remains the same in life. We’re similar people from likes, dislikes, holiday destinations, and the food we like. From how we’re obsessed with working out. We want to work out on a holiday also. It’s really crazy. Touchwood! So far so good.”

Moving forth in the conversation, Rakul Preet Singh talked about resuming her work right after her marriage. The actress admitted that she was fortunate since both her parents and in-laws have been more than willing to let her strive in her career. Moreover, she added that there was no pressure from either side of the family, especially when it concerns her to dress in a certain way now that she was married. Reacting strongly against such a mentality, Rakul stated:
“I think we in Indian society make a big deal about marriage, and I would like to say that it is a natural process in anyone’s life. Will you ask a guy to dress a certain way after marriage? Times have changed, and everyone does whatever they like."
Previously, Rakul Preet Singh and Jackky Bhagnani had attended an event in Guwahati, hosted by the Assam State Film Corporation Limited. During the same, the newly wedded duo revealed a few tidbits about their personal. For instance, at one point, Jackky Bhagnani claimed that he has a very dry sense of humour. However, it was his better half, Rakul, who quickly chimed that it was exactly this same quality of her hubby that made her like him for the first time ever.

Earlier, in an interaction with DNA, Rakul Preet Singh recalled the terrifying day when her father met with her now-hubby, Jackky Bhagnani for the first time. It was in the year 2021, when the couple had all but dated for some time, and Rakul was extremely worried and apprehensive about this meeting. Revealing how she had prepped her father not to ask weird questions to Jackky, Rakul revvealed:
“I think I was the most worried. I prepped my dad and told him, ‘He is coming and meeting you for the first time. Do not make it very awkward. He is not army.’ But then fathers being fathers ask the question straight up. But Jackky was prepared.”
