Saira Banu has lived a glorious life with the prince charming, Dilip Kumar. She has been a strong pillar of support in Dilip Kumar's life till his last breath. It took a lot of courage for Saira Banu to come out of the mourning phase after the death of Dilip Kumar. Now, she often pens anecdotes from her life with Sahib, Dilip Kumar. Recently, Saira talked about her bond with Shah Rukh Khan and how she considers him as her son.
On September 10, 2023, Saira Banu took to her Instagram handle and posted a video and a picture with Shah Rukh Khan and her late husband, Dilip Kumar. In the video, we can see Shah Rukh getting Dilip Kumar's autograph on the huge poster of the iconic film, Mughal-e-Azam. And in another photo, he shared a candid moment with Dilip Kumar and Saira Banu.

Alongside it, Saira Banu penned the first moment when she had met Shah Rukh Khan and found an instant connection. He looked a lot like Dilip Kumar. She even added that if she would have had a son, he would be like Shah Rukh Khan. An excerpt of Saira Banu's note can be read as:
"The first time I saw Shahrukh was when many stars had met for a function...I immediately remarked that he seemed shy and reticent to come forward....and I noticed that he looked so much like my Shahenshah Dilip Sahib....I said if my son had been there He would have been just like him."
Saira Banu made her Instagram debut on the death anniversary of Dilip Kumar and shared an adorable post. We could see Saira and Dilip's wedding picture in the first photo. In another photo, Saira and Dilip Kumar were seen together as they enjoyed the weather in their home garden. Alongside it, Saira Banu penned a heartwrenching note. She started her post with a shayari, which could be read as:
"Sukoon-E-dil ke liye kuch toh ehtemaam karoon, zara nazar jo miley phir unhe salaam karoon, mujhe toh hosh nahin aap mashwara dijiyey. kaha se chedoon fasana kahan tamaam karoon."
In her note, Saira Banu further revealed that her world stood still on July 7 at 7 in the morning, when her loved one, Dilip Kumar passed away. Remembering the heartwrenching moment, Saira Banu revealed that she begged God that Dilip Kumar reacts to his favourite couplet. She wrote:
"I am writing this note on the 7th of July to especially express my gratitude to the overwhelming multitude of caring well-wishers and dearest friends from the world over who have so tremendously swept me off my feet till today with their everlasting remembrance, love and respect for my Kohinoor, Dilip Kumar Sahib. This is the day, “7th of July” at “7 am” when time stood still, and my loved one slid into a deep slumber. I pleaded with the Almighty that, ‘Sahib’, as I always called him should react to one of his favourite couplets. Uth Apni Jumbish-E-Mizgaan Se Taaza Kar De Hayaat Keh Ruka Ruka Qadam-E-Qayenaat Hain Saqi."
