Bollywood's Superstar, Shah Rukh Khan, needs no introduction. The actor is known for his calm and composed behaviour, even in adverse situations. But as they say, every person has a limit to their patience, and the case is no different with Shah Rukh Khan. While the actor enjoys many friendships in Bollywood and is hailed for his down-to-earth nature, he once allegedly assaulted Farah Khan's husband and filmmaker, Shirish Kunder.
According to reports, in the year 2012, Sanjay Dutt hosted a star-studded party for his friends at a nightclub in Juhu. Shah Rukh Khan joined the party at around 3:15 am, and Farah Khan’s husband, Shirish Kunder, was also present there. During the party, Shah Rukh interacted with his B-town friends but kept his distance from Shirish. For the unversed, things weren’t well between SRK and Shirish back then, as the latter had taken a nasty dig at the actor's movie, Ra.One, and called it a ‘firework fizzle’ on Twitter.

However, later, when Sanjay Dutt took Shah Rukh Khan to meet his close friend outside the party, Farah’s husband reportedly followed them. A close witness of the whole scenario had told The Times Of India that Shirish irked Shah Rukh a lot. The source was quoted as saying:
“Khan refused to acknowledge Kunder at the party. Even when Dutt escorted SRK outside the venue to introduce him to a close friend, Kunder unabashedly followed them. Kunder placed himself right behind SRK and murmured something into his ear.”
Shirish Kunder, who was drunk, allegedly followed Shah Rukh everywhere and even entered the loo with him. Shirish also mumbled something in SRK’s ears, which made the superstar lose all his calm completely. However, the actor got so irritated by this behaviour that he pinned Shirish to a sofa and allegedly punched him. When things got out of hand, Sanjay Dutt had to intervene to stop the brawl.

While a lot of buzz regarding Shrish and SRK's fight was alive back then, Farah Khan, too, confirmed the incident. The choreographer-director texted the reporters of Headlines Today and mentioned that her husband, Shirish, was beaten up by Shah Rukh Khan and his three bodyguards at Sanjay Dutt's party. Revealing the details about the same, Farah said:
"Shirish, my husband, was beaten up by Shah Rukh and his three bodyguards in Sanjay Dutt's party. Shah Rukh asked Shirish why he had tweeted against him... There was no provocation from our side. He had screamed at Shirish, telling him that he would destroy me as well."
Farah Khan also told the reporters how Shah Rukh always told her that physical abuse was not the answer to every problem. She shared that the actor had told her earlier that if a person resorts to hitting, he must be going through a personal or professional crisis. Farah was quoted as saying:
"Shahrukh has always told me that physical abuse is the worst way to sort out a problem and that it means the person who's hitting has either a personal or professional crisis going on, and it saddens me to see him doing the same."
While rumours of Farah and Shah Rukh Khan's fallout were doing the rounds back then, their fans were worried that the unfortunate incident would put a nail in the coffin of their friendship. But Shirish Kunder decided not to file an FIR against Shah Rukh Khan and preferred the matter to let go. Back then, Shirish had tweeted:
"Thanks for all your concern & wishes. We are very grateful. Contrary to rumours, we have no intention of filing an FIR or police complaint."
