Shah Rukh Khan's darling wife, Gauri Khan is known for her exceptional designing concepts. She owns her design studio, Gauri Khan Designs, since 2017 and has already designed homes and spaces for many A-listers in the industry, including Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor, Manish Malhotra, Karan Johar, Sidharth Malhotra, and many others. A while back, she launched her debut book, My Life In Design, published by Penguin Random House. Now, Amitabh Bachchan made a startling revelation about SRK making an exclusive offer to his wife. However, the star wife hasn't started working on it till now.
For the unversed, Amitabh Bachchan has been hosting Sony TV's 15th season of the popular reality show, KBC. During one of the recent episodes, Big B asked a question to a contestant named Kapil Dev, “Whose wife is the author of the book My Life in Design?" and the options were Sachin Tendulkar, Shah Rukh Khan, Akshay Kumar and Chetan Bhagat. To this, as the contestant mentioned Shah Rukh Khan, he was applauded for the correct answer. Afterwards, Amitabh shared the details about the book, My Life In Design.

Following this, Amitabh complemented Gauri's design works and made a startling revelation. Amitabh shared that it was when he and SRK were shooting, and the former went inside the latter's van, he got a glimpse of Gauri's designs and was mesmerised by it. However, Amitabh then laughingly mentioned that although SRK asked his wife to design one for the former, the celebrity wife didn't yet start her work. In Amitabh's words:
“I saw (Gauri’s) interior design works. Recently, I was shooting with SRK and while talking I went inside his van. It is beautifully designed. There’s a TV, sliding sofa, kitchen and many other things. He (SRK) said it was designed by her. He (SRK) even said that I would ask her to design one for you par abtak aayi nahi hai (But she is yet to come).”

It was on May 15, 2023, when Gauri's coffee table book, My Life In Design, was launched. Ahead of this, in an interview with Vogue India, Gauri revealed, “I would like the readers of this coffee table book to chip in and tell me what work they like more than others, since there are a lot of unseen pictures in the book.” In addition, the doting husband was seen turning a cheerleader for his darling wife, Gauri and mentioned that he would give discounts to her. He said:
“I am excited to see what she has included in her book, and if by chance she has designed some space better than what she has done for me, I will force her to give me a discounted makeover for my space.”
