Mahira Khan is one of the most famous Pakistani actresses, who knows how to carve a space in the hearts of the audience with her unparalleled beauty, amazing personality, and acting skills. The diva stepped into Bollywood with the movie, Raees alongside Shah Rukh Khan and instantly grabbed the limelight with her charm. However, the actress recently graced Arijit Singh's concert in Dubai, wherein the singer delivered a soulful performance. Upon recognising the actress, the singer gave a cutesy shout-out to her. Mahira, on the other hand, recently penned an appreciation post for the singer.
Taking to her IG handle, Mahira Khan posted a video that featured her gracing a live concert of Arijit Singh in Dubai. In the video, which was a compilation of several photos and videos, we can see Mahira looking gorgeous in a black-hued sleeveless dress teamed with a funky jacket. A pair of classy sneakers added the final touch to her look. A soft touch of makeup and open tresses added an oomph factor to her concert night look.

After getting an adorable shout-out from Arijit Singh, Mahira Khan also penned a sweet appreciation note for the much-loved singer. Mahira dropped a video from the concert, and in the caption, she stated that it was a pleasure watching the artist perform. The actress, in her note, added that it was extremely beautiful to witness the modesty of the artist. Sharing that the singer must have been blessed from above, Mahira penned:
"I wasn’t meant to be here for this.. but.. I guess I was. You know what I mean? What a pleasure it is to watch an artist perform.. whirling in joy, surrounded by love. But more than that, it’s beautiful when you see humility in an artist.. because he knows, it isn’t him.. he’s just been blessed from up above. Stay blessed @arijitsingh Wah!"
The video featured the cutesy shout-out that Mahira Khan got from Arijit Singh. In the video, Arijit addressed the audience and told them that there was a special guest in the audience. Later, he asked the cameras to pan over Mahira Khan. Arijit further added that he was trying to recognise this special person for whose movie he had sung a special song. He also apologised to Mahira Khan for not recognising her earlier. Arijit Singh said:
"You guys must be surprised, what should I reveal? Let me reveal it in a very nice way. Can we put a camera there? I was trying to identify this person, then I remembered that I had sung a song for him. Ladies and gentlemen, Mahira Khan is sitting right in front of me. Come to think of it I was singing her song Zaalima and it's her song and she was singing and standing and I couldn't recognise her. Forgive me. Ma'am, thank you, and thank you very much."
In an old interview with Hassan Chaudhury, Mahira Khan shared that it was her movie, Humsafar, for which she was able to bag the role in the movie, Raees. The actress further added that her movie, Humsafar was released four years later in India, and it was a hit back then. Mahira shared that during that time, she had a visa to India to promote her film, and that's when she was offered the role of Raees.

Going further in the same interview, Mahira Khan shared that the makers of Rees loved her performance, and SRK's mother-in-law, Savita Chhibber, pitched her name to the actor. The actress also shared that although a lot of people had auditioned for the role in Raees, she had her hands on the script a long before that.
