Karan Johar is grabbing all the attention at the moment, ever-since he announced the comeback of his controversial chat show, Koffee With Karan 8. Moreover, after the release of a couple of episodes, the filmmaker is ruling all the headlines due to the many saucy revelations taking place in his show. Moreover, the recent sneak peek shared by Karan about the upcoming guest list on his show has also intrigued a massive audience. And now, it seems Karan Johar has addressed two major incidents in his life, and how he dealt with it, on the recent episode of Koffee With Karan 8.
In the recent episode of Koffee With Karan 8, featuring Sara Ali Khan and Ananya Panday, Karan Johar opened up on his infamous fight with his best friend, Kareena Kapoor Khan. For the unversed, their friendship was severed for one and a half years, when the latter refused to be a part of his film, Kal Ho Na Ho. The filmmaker recalled how after his father, Yash Johar passed away, he hadn’t really mended his friendship with Bebo. He then added how after such a loss in his life, it was Kareena who came home one night and they chatted all-night long, thereby patching up in a very organic way. In his words:
“She was like I don't know what to say, I said, don't say anything, I know you are there. When he passed away, she was in Bangkok, we still had not mended, and the point she landed from her shoot, she came home. We spent all night just chatting. We went back to where we were. When we fought, I said I was never going to speak with her again.”

In the same revelation, Karan went on to speak about his other friend-break with Kajol, that happened in 2016, when his film, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil clashed at the box office with the actress’ husband, Ajay Devgn’s film, Shivaay, which ended up the latter charting significantly less numbers and being a flop equivalent. Recalling his patch-up story, Karan shared how after his twins, Yash and Roohi were born, he sent pictures of them to Kajol, and even though they weren’t on talking terms yet, it was enough to break the ice. Elaborating more, the filmmaker revealed:
“I said you don't need to reply but these are what my children look like - Yash and Roohi. She messaged back and she said, I am just full of love right now. Month later, she said it's my birthday, you don't have to come but I went. We hugged, we cried and it was done.”
In one of her earlier appearances in the show, Koffee With Karan, Kareena once addressed her fight with Karan Johar, after she refused to play the part of ‘Naina’ in his film, Kal Ho Na Ho. For the unversed, the role was later bagged by Preity Zinta. The diva accepted that she did wrong on her best friend just because of greed. Moreover, she even emphasised her regret of not picking up Karan’s calls or messages for over a year and a half, thereby loosing out on a great phase of their friendship.

The spat between Karan Johar and his best friend, Kajol is quite a popular gossip in Bollywood, and nearly everyone knows about it. While the duo have patched up later and to date, never fail to serve some major BFF goals, there was a time when Kajol in her fit of rage had badmouthed the filmmaker, after he purposely let his own film clash at the box office with her husband, Ajay Devgn’s promising film, Shivaay. However, in response to all the allegations, Karan Johar issued a statement, wherein he appeared to be seemingly hurt. He had stated:
“I wouldn't like to give a piece of myself to her at all because she's (Kajol) killed every bit of emotion I had for her for twenty-five years. I don't think she deserves me. I feel nothing for her any more. I've been told by my friends that it's still my hurt talking but I'm so indifferent to the situation now, what with everything that's transpired."
