Popular actress, Samantha Ruth Prabhu has become a target of trolls as netizens have dug out her old Tweet, wherein she called Mahesh Babu’s film, Nenokkadine, regressive. And fast forward to today, she has a “deeply regressive" scene with Vijay Deverakonda in the lyrical video of the song, Aradhya, from her upcoming film, Kushi. The poster in question features Samantha’s co-star, Vijay, touching her hand with his leg as an intimate gesture. However, the particular scene from the video hasn’t gone down well with a section of netizens, who have been trolling the actress.
Talking about the poster for Mahesh Babu’s film, Nenokkadine, it showed Mahesh walking on a beach while actress, Kriti Sanon, was seen following him like a four-legged animal. Though Samantha didn't mention the name of the movie, she called it deeply regressive. And now, netizens are taking a dig at Samantha’s alleged double standards by sharing her old tweet, in which she had tweeted:
“Saw a poster of a yet to be released Telugu film. Not only is it deeply regressive, but its point is actually that it is deeply regressive.”

Reacting to Samantha's old tweet, netizens are reminding the actress of her statement and calling her out for her controversial remark. While one user penned, “Saw a poster of a #Kushi to be released Telugu film. Not only is it deeply regressive, but it’s point is actually that it is deeply regressive", another one commented, “Karma hits back." Meanwhile, a third user wrote, “In the year 2013, she commented on Nenokkadine movie poster. Now what is she doing? Karma is boomerang."
Meanwhile, Samantha Ruth Prabhu recently confirmed her break from acting to take care of her health. Taking to her IG handle on July 13, 2023, Samantha shared a picture of herself with the filmmaker duo, Raj and DK, as well as screenwriter, Sita Menon. Along with the post, Samantha penned a caption talking about her hiatus from acting. Expressing her views about the same, she added that taking a break doesn’t seem like a bad thing at all and penned:
“A break doesn’t seem like a bad thing at all when you know what’s coming @rajanddk @mensit The family I didn’t know I needed. Thank you for helping me fight every single battle and never ever giving up on me... I wish more than anything in the world to make you proud... Thank you for the role of a lifetime... i.e until you write me the next.”

Earlier, a video surfaced online, wherein Samantha Ruth Prabhu was seen decked up as a new bride as she was spotted standing beside actor, Vijay Deverakonda. Samantha looked gorgeous in a red-hued saree and open tresses. As the photos and videos of the duo at the temple went viral on social media, Sam's fans were left in a frenzy. Reportedly, Samantha and Vijay were filming a puja scene at a temple in Draksharama, Andhra Pradesh, for their upcoming film, Kushi. The duo was seen accompanied by the other cast members of the film. Samantha and Vijay were busy participating in the puja, but when they saw the cameras pointed at them, they offered to bow down and greet their fans.
