Anushka has to marry an old-school type Shah Rukh because of her father’s dying wish in Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi. Even though Anushka feels nothing for him at first, he eventually wins her over with his devotion and dedication. He even undergoes a makeover to spend more time with her. His efforts to kindle a spark in their 'marriage of convenience' do not go to waste, as she falls for him as well at the end. This film wonderfully depicts how true love can make your life beautiful, no matter how bad the odds that were against you.
