Bollywood actor, Aamir Khan is one of the leading stars of the Hindi film industry. Over the years, he has proved his acting prowess to his massive fans, as his acting skills are unmatchable. In his personal life, he got married twice, but both his marriages failed. However, he enjoys a cordial bond with both his ex-wives, Reena Dutta and Kiran Rao, and loves all his kids equally.
Aamir Khan and his ex-wife, Kiran Rao graced the stage of News18 India Chaupal and opened up on their film, Laapata Ladies. During the same, the actor mentioned that he’s open to doing romantic films if he would be suitable for the main character. He further added that he wants to explore every genre, but the role should be somewhat suitable age-wise. Aamir said:
“Agar romantic kahani hogi toh zarur. Iss age mein romance thora uncommon hota hai. Kahani ke hisaab se agar main character suit karunga toh kyun nahi karna chahunga? Har genre karna chahunga. Par age-wise thora suitable hona chahiye. Suddenly main 18 ho gaya ho woh nahi karna chahunga."

Speaking about working together after their divorce, Aamir jokingly asked if a couple immediately becomes enemies after their divorce. He further added that he considers himself fortunate that Kiran came into his life, and they both created a lot together, personally and professionally. Aamir also mentioned that he and Kiran are connected on a human and emotional level and said:
“Yeh kisi doctor ne kaha hai ke divorce ho jata hai toh aap foran dushman ho jaate hai? Yeh meri khushnaseebi hai ke mere zindagi mein Kiran aayi aur humara safar bahut hee fulfilling raha mere liye. Bahut kuch banaya humne saath mein, personally and professionally aur age bhi hum saath mein hee hai. Hum insaani aur jaazbaati taur pe jude huye hai aur humesha rahenge. We are like a family.”
Reacting to Aamir Khan's claims, his ex-wife, Kiran added that they enjoy working with each other. However, Aamir further chipped in and said that he loves it when Kiran scolds him during the shooting of their films together. In his words:
“Unka jo mind hai, intelligence hai… do chaar dafa daant bhi deti hai, woh bhi maza aata hai.”

Aamir Khan and his first wife, Reena Dutta went separate ways after 16 years of married life and were granted divorce in 2002. After his divorce from Reena, Aamir found love in director-producer, Kiran Rao, and they tied the knot in December 2005. Aamir and Kiran embraced parenthood with the arrival of their son, Azad Rao Khan via IVF. However, in 2021, Aamir and Kiran announced their divorce, ending 15-and-a-half years of marriage. The duo still share a cordial bond with each other, which is praiseworthy.
