One of the biggest actors in India, Mahesh Babu is reportedly all set to work with the critically-acclaimed filmmaker, SS Rajamouli. If the reports are to be believed, Mahesh Babu is joining the bandwagon of South Indian stars who are getting celebrated by PAN India. After the success of films like Baahubali, K.G.F., Pushpa, Kantara, and a long list of South Indian films that have received tremendous responses from the Hindi-speaking audience, Mahesh Babu is also set to make his mark in the hearts of the entire nation. Since the success of RRR on the global stage, everyone is super-excited for SS Rajamouli’s next film, which is a jungle-adventure trilogy, as per reports.

Amid the speculations and rumours around SS Rajamouli’s next film after RRR, a brand new report has excited everyone for the filmmaker’s next dream project. According to a report in Pinkvilla, a source close to the production has revealed that SS Rajamouli is taking inspiration from Ramayana for his next film. The source added that the film is based in the jungles of Africa. It also revealed that Mahesh Babu's character in the film is inspired by Lord Hanuman. The source also added that Mahesh Babu would go on an adventure to seek medicine just like Lord Hanuman went to find sanjeevani for God Laxman.

Although the director hasn’t reacted to these reports as of now, time and again, we have seen SS Rajamouli showing references to Mahabharata, Ramayana, Amar Chitrakatha, and many others in his film sequences and characters. The report has left Mahesh Babu’s million fans super-excited to see him essaying a role which is quite similar to Lord Hanuman. Also, the long-awaited wish of Hindi-speaking audience to see South megastar, Mahesh Babu in a PAN India film is soon going to be fulfilled if the reports are to be believed.

Further, in the report, the source close to the production also added that the film is currently in the writing process. As per the source, SS Rajamouli and his team of creatives are trying their best to take it on the floors by the end of this year. Another amazing piece of information about the film given by the source was that it is going to be one of the most expensive films ever made in India. The reason behind it goes to the fact that it will be shot in the globally famous Amazon forest.

SS Rajamouli's jungle-adventure trilogy will reportedly be backed by Disney or Sony

With the gigantic success of RRR at the Oscars, the film’s director, SS Rajamouli has established himself as the best director in India. This is one of the reasons why when he announced that his next film project would be a trilogy based on a jungle adventure, many international studios reportedly showed their interest in producing it. However, as per the reports, Sony Pictures and Disney are the front runners in the face to produce the film. However, nothing has been mentioned by either of them as of now.
