Yami Gautam is one of the most talented actresses of her generation. The diva stepped into showbiz with modelling, and then went onto carve her niche in the television industry. She is best remembered for her appreciable performances in daily soaps like Chand Ke Paar Chalo, Raajkumar Aaryyan, Yeh Pyar Na Hoga Kam among others. It was in 2012 when Yami made her Bollywood debut with the film, Vicky Donor and since then, she hasn’t looked back in her career. In her personal life, the actress got married to filmmaker, Aditya Dhar in 2021. Currently, the duo is expecting their first child.
Yami Gautam is enjoying the most beautiful phase of her life at the moment, as she is all set to welcome her first child with her husband, Aditya Dhar. The couple announced their good news during the promotions of the former’s film, Article 370. In a recent interaction with TOI, Yami recalled how her mother had been very patient and lovable while raising her. Moreover, she shared how she has taken inspiration from her mother and sister, Surilie Gautam for being the most amazing parents that they have been. In her words:
“My mother has been an incredible parent who raised us with patience and love. I remember she was very playful with us. I also liked the way she would correct us and keep us occupied. I keep asking my mom how she did it, and she tells me that you can’t take notes because it doesn’t work like that. My sister too, has done a great job with raising my nephew, who I am very close to.”

Talking about her own growing up years, Yami reflected how things were entirely different in her childhood, all thanks to the unavailability of modern technologies. She expressed how every thing has become quite easy for the children today, since all it takes is a click of a button. Adding how she looks forward to take her family’s aid in raising her children, Yami said:
“With the advent of technology, you get everything at your doorstep. I come from a middle class family and was raised with middle class values. When we were growing up, things weren’t this easy. There wasn’t instant access to everything. When it comes to raising a child, we depend on our family to help and guide us.”
In the concluding segment of the interaction, Yami Gautam talked about her pregnancy journey and discussed whether she would want to jump back to her work soon after the birth of her child. She revealed how both her mother and mother-in-law have been working mothers themselves. Moreover, she talked about her husband, Aditya Dhar being her biggest supporter in this matter and expressed:
“I will be a working mother. My mother and mother-in-law have been working women and have balanced it well. They have set an example for me. Also, I am glad I have a very supportive husband.”

Previously, in an interaction with the Hindustan Times, Yami Gautam talked about the preparations she and her family has been doing in order to welcome her first child. The diva revealed that her mom and sister have already come down to Mumbai to stay with her in this period of time. Moreover, she revealed how her hubby, Aditya Dhar, has been making adorable arrangements for the last leg of her pregnancy and has brought Ramayan and Amar Chitra Katha for her to read.
